This song is a tribute to a time when Vinia Monica was a huge part of and represented the kind of Hip Hop Third Eyeris still holds on to as Hip Hop's prime. References are made to her synonymously as if she's interchangeable with Hip Hop from the years 1991 to 2001 as it related to sounds out of the Native Tongues camp, Pete Rock, Black Star, and Reflection Eternal. Her appearance on a song made the fusion with R&B cool before it became seemingly required on a Rap song. The artists she worked with represented true Hip Hop for us and although we're "stuck in the past" we acknowledge evolution and that "some people's truth evolves".
