Editorial sub-label Clandestine Boogie welcomes Sunner Soul, a Russian producer more famous for delivering a deluge of digital-only edit EPs over the last decade. He's in fine form here, though, delivering a string of original productions that tend towards the deep and musically rich. Title track "Voyager 84" is particularly good and delivers a sun-kissed, Balearic-minded blend of deep house electronics, shuffling samba-house beats and starry, intergalactic melodies. The accompanying Kim & Buran mix is far bolder and more synth-heavy in tone, sitting somewhere between '80s boogie and cheerful nu-disco. Scruscru lends a hand on the B-side, first assisting Sunner Soul with the nu-disco/disco-house fusion of "Spring Mood", and then the deliciously jazzy and sample-heavy peak-time bounce of "Joy".

On September 20th, 2009, PRINCE was rehearsing for upcoming shows for  his favorite city, France. Why was is it his favorite city? "Because it rhymes with my favorite word; Dance!", Prince would say.  On September 21st, 2009, PRINCE sent his mouthpiece and trusted friend over the years a rehearsal of "Why U Wanna Treat Me So Bad" entitled "Y U Wanna Treat Me So Bad" from the day's previous rehearsals. Prince had his own web site LotusFlow3r.com but Funkenberry was the person to follow for Prince news, tour dates, after-shows and now exclusive tracks. People still didn't get their LotusFlow3r.com shirts but here were fans wishing they were giving their $70.00 to Funkenberry instead. The rehearsal is interesting because PRINCE sings it in his lower octave. So for the 10th anniversary of Dr. Funk being sent this song, it is being reposted in full for the first time in years!
