This week I was on hosting duties for the first hour before handing over to my friend Adriel Leff aka Jet Boot Jack who was my guest for the evening. I played, for the most part, new releases before handing over to Adriel to see out the show. And boy did he smash it! Every track on his set is, as yet, unreleased. A marvelous set from start to end, showcasing the talents of Jet Boot Jack.

The first show of 2021, and what a way to kick off the new season - featuring special guest Ivan Makvel from Italian modern funk label, The Sleepers Recordz . Ivan and Aswad sit down and discuss his forthcoming album, A Family Affair (out 15th Jan) and drop an exclusive play of the new tracks from the album. They also talk about the many great releases from his label which occurred within the past year. Alongside that Aswad chats to Walla P about his ode and passion for his collaborative new project with Albin (Boogie80) - Prime Source. My rework of his own rework of his classic 'Alien (Hold On To Your Dreams)', his own beautiful homage to the immigrant story of America. His re-recorded version was part of the posthumous 'Nothing New' compilation that XL Recordings released in 2014, featuring recordings from 2008 of some of his favourite works. I think that version of 'Alien' is so much more powerful than the original, the pain of the lyrics amplified by his then-gruffed-up voice. And it's a message we can all get behind right now particularly I think.

@BenSpaldingOfficial is a highly creative DJ, Producer, Record Label Owner and the man behind PuzzleProjectsGroup - which includes @PuzzleProjectsMusic, @PuzzledParties and several other highly progressive underground brands.

A Londoner now based in Oslo, Norway, Ben has managed & performed at music events in 35 countries over the last decade including Coachella Festival in California. 

2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as bookings for him as a solo act and @PuzzledParties shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

While his 2020 touring schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, plans are in place for mid-late 2021 which will see him go on a USA and Mexico tour followed by a return tour of Asia across Bali, Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong, Australia & New Zealand and a debut tour in South America and many more locations to be confirmed.

In March 2021 Ben will release the first of 4 x two-track House & Techno EP’s with the renowned Berlin-based Musician, Live act & Producer @RonaldChristoph.
