A cover of It's Only Sex by Car Seat Headrest, every part is completely redone by me, was a very fun project.

In 2023 my studio partner Adam Dubuc wanted to test some new equipment and also practice his engineering chops, so I 'volunteered' to be the recording artist. We recorded to two-inch tape and used SMPTE time-code to sync to a computer, which was actually only providing a click track (I didn't want any computer stuff on the recording, but he wanted to experiment with the synchronizer). A version was mixed using some inappropriate-yet-comical samples (synced from the computer via SMPTE-to-MIDI using Ableton) over the drum break, though it has been thankfully lost to time.

This song was originally written in 2017 and a version of it was released with my old band, Pixels, as 'Evil Eyes' on the 2017 EP 'Accessories' (75 or Less Records).

The cover photo is from some recording session in 2023, close to the time we did this song.

I've been writing and playing music since the year 2000. Past projects/bands of mine include the Bendays (2013-2022), Pixels (2012-2018), Green Bean/Short Wave (2004-2009), Doo Radley (2008-2011) and Ataraxis (2001-2005). 

I'm currently working on a solo record (started in late 2024) and playing with an, as of now, nameless trio with my wife (Jessica from youngest Sun) and our friend Lawrence.

This account will share past recordings and current demos/rough mixes for my album in progress.
