The masses are shameless, dying to be famous

I rap in waves, they rap in circles
They dig their graves, while I'm puffin' on purple
not a weed rapper, that shit is played out
I say the words that ring true, while they just fade out
So lemme swing back to the real message
It's eating me up and I need some real leverage
The average emcee don't know what art is
And they think that they're dope cause they're posse's the largest
I tell you now, your plays don't mean shit
If your friends love your songs it don't mean they're a hit
And that's why I sit, and think about life

So these ignorant cats write me off as a nerd

Always focused on the goal and not what's overheard
