We are very excited to share Theef’s perception of Far Blue with you today. After years of work on these productions, he has now compiled an almost 3 hour long mix of his original and unreleased works.

‘Temporal Futures’ drifts through the shadows of time, weaving together fleeting moments of light and darkness. Each track is a glimpse into distant dreamscapes—some soft and ethereal, others pulsing with mystery and edge. From the depths of ambient oceans to the glow of cosmic dancefloors, Temporal Futures unfolds like a journey across forgotten timelines and fictional realities.

“This mixtape came to life while I was back on my island, Crete—a place where time feels slower, yet the landscape constantly shifts around you. The sound of the sea, the wind across the mountains, and the endless open skies seeped into the process. Crete's nature has a way of blending brightness with a sense of the unknown, so I tried to reflect that duality in the music. Some tracks echo the stillness of quiet nights by the water, while others capture the pulse of walking through old city streets or the wildness of the island’s more quiet and forgotten corners.”

Artisan Dub Soup III - Alastair Kelly

The latest release from Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Ercos Blanka back to the label for a new EP. A musician for the majority of his life, Italian artist Thierry Viti aka Ercos Blanka began his journey playing guitar at the age of seven, while taking cues from the likes of Fabrizio De André, Battisti, Mina and eventually Pink Floyd, the latter of which opened his mind to more experimental music. Three years on at the age of ten, Thierry was gifted a keyboard and a Kraftwerk CD, marking a turning point in his musical journey, one where he realized his true passion lay in electronic music composition. On the strength of early tracks such as 2011's 'Digital Deep' and 'Secret Love', Ercos established himself as a name to watch in the deeper realms of house and techno, pushing an aesthetic that was both haunting and effortlessly cool. Blanka's creative partnership with Sound Avenue began in 2020 and proved to be a resounding success, in the form of a contribution to the label's 'Correlation' series with 'Kafka', a track which generated more than 2.6 million streams on Spotify. Additional projects via Saisons and Seven Villas across the next four years would further establish Blanka's deep, dubbed out and character rich sound. Now, Ercos makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a two-track showcase entitled 'Another Jazz'.

Internal conflicts and transcendence...
The End, by The Doors,explores profound themes of the human psyche, going beyond a simple farewell. The direct reference to the Oedipus complex in the lines "Father? / Yes, son / I want to kill you / Mother, I want to–" reveals internal conflicts and family taboos, demonstrating how the song addresses universal issues of rupture, symbolic death, and rebirth. Although Morrison was initially inspired by the end of his relationship with Mary Werbelow, he expanded the lyrics to address broader existential experiences.
The hypnotic atmosphere created by Robby Krieger's guitar, which imitates Indian instruments, reinforces the sense of travel and transcendence. Lines like "Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain" and "All the children are insane" suggest a civilization on the brink of collapse, which connects to the use of music in the film "Apocalypse Now" to illustrate the chaos of war. Metaphors like "ride the snake" and "the blue bus is callin' us" can be seen as references to both psychedelic journeys and processes of self-discovery. The somber, introspective tone, coupled with the narrative's fragmented structure, conveys the sense of an inevitable end, but also of a painful liberation, as in "It hurts to set you free / But you'll never follow me." “The End” remains open to multiple interpretations about death, transformation, and the limits of human experience.
