I wrote this in 2006 after reading an article on some new finds of human remains that are 4 million years old in Ethiopia, I felt inspired to begin a series of tunes based on the idea that ancient people tell their stories every time an anthropologist writes of humankind's curious ways, then and now.

This is the first offering from this dig containing bare bones that I call Ultimately Fossil. (See Playlist for more.)

Gerald Shaffer Bio.

Founder of the Doonesbury band Gerald is a Canadian musician and writer, producer, and performer. He is 56 years old and lives a rural life in roberts creek bc with his family.

His songs are alternative rock - inspired by southern blues, english blues, rock and roll, trance and 70's 

Today Gerald produces his own music under the Shaffer Music label. He sings and  plays keyboard, guitar, harmonica
