Atmospheric Drum & Bass track with a focus on a clash between warped melancholy chords and heavenly melodies.  This track balances dark and beautiful tones meant to, if only for the short time, relive listeners of anguish in their life.  When this track started coming together it really made me feel something, so I hope to pass that same feeling along to you.

Minimal/IDM track with a focus on a melancholy chord progression and intermingled supporting elements.  The track pushes a mood of introspection but still carries a driven beat like railroad tracks for thought.  I wanted this track to reflect and individual's troubles, but also, more broadly, humanity's as a whole.  I have worked on this one on and off for quite some time and it led to some interesting drawn-out arrangement decisions, but I found when trying to trim it down it lost a bit of the magic that I love about it, so here we are.

DJ Hype - The Chopper (The Nocturnal Bootleg)

IDM track with a focus on bit crush distortion and airy elements emerging from it.  This track is moody and meant to push out waves of melancholy while carrying just enough groove to guide the listener.  When the parts started coming together, the bit crushed elements sounded so desolate that I couldn't resist finding some soulful sounds to create a heavy mood.  Honestly, I felt like I could have taken this one a lot further - so maybe in the future I'll turn this into a proper full length track.
