The Story behind La Plata :

Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production?
It was recorded in Saeul, the smallest village in Luxembourg one of the smallest country in European Union. DoosC is the composer & producer of this track.

Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it?
La Plata is the result of an experiment, where the starting point was the selection of a random place on Google Street View. The chance fell on the city of La Plata in Argentina. The single is built around what the city inspired to DoosC.   

Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about? If you are releasing an album then either describe the thinking behind the project or choose a couple of lead tracks to focus on.
The idea of the track is to make a modern EDM track inspired by traditional musical elements typical of Argentina. For example the chord progression is based on a typical tango chord progression in A minor. Also the waterdrums you can hear in the track are inspired by those of indigenous tribes from early Argentina. The main lead has a very electronic character but is not without reminding the andean flute. And the unusual 3/4 time signature gives a latino groove to the rhythm. 

Were there any notable or amusing happenings surrounding the recording/production of the EP? As above, list whatever might be of relevance.
When DoosC started discussing ideas around La Plata with WaterSlash, the latter was not convinced by the artistic concept imagined by DoosC. But once the track started to gain strength and character, WaterSlash became very excited about how the track was developing.

This track is one of the two from my collab with @thedaverage
It is build mainly around two musical ideas, one that is more dreamy and one that has a bit more grit.
Daverage brought in some really cool drums, and I used some unusual synth patches from Bitwig Studio to give that dreamy feel. Also the use of a strummer and a nice clean guitar patch is giving a lot of warmth to the track. A cocktail of sounds to please your ears!

🔵 GENRE : I wanted to explore new territories, and got inspired by some Vikings songs I heard at my sister's place. I am pretty sure this turned out to be a "cinematic-house track" if that's even a genre 😉
🔵 ABOUT THE TRACK : 120bpm. With a C minor scale for a touch of nostalgic feel as the girl on the cover. And an unusual A B C structure, definitely not very DJ friendly, but I hope it will take you on an unexpected and epic journey.
