Nikko.Z’s Dopamine White closes out the year by welcoming Miquel Salla to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Spain, Miquel Salla is a DJ and a computer developer who decided to start a project of continuing sound research and development within electronic music. With strong roots within the hardcore, punk, grunge, techno and minimal scenes, Miguel emerged with a series of well-received projects via Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas imprint. Now armed with a catalog that is both danceable and melancholic, Miguel adds Dopamine White to his resume with a four track showcase ‘Elevation’. 

The title track gets the release underway and sits as one of Miguel’s most emotional yet club-effective productions to date. Punchy kick drums and contoured grooves set the foundation for a narrative of rhythmic pulses, flashing percussion and timely effects. Hopeful harmonic refrains emerge across the second act, creating an emotive canopy of sound, one which results in a hazy dubbed out wave of colour and texture. Beneath the swirling qualities of ‘Elevation’ lies the equally impressive vibes of ‘Masification’. Opting for a deeper and more dubbed out approach, Miguel flexes his versatile repertoire here, as heartfelt top lines descend over tight kick drums and woody percussive arrangements for a dimly lit backroom voyage.

Selection three ‘Infinite’ marks the EP’s halfway point and pushes forward with a bigger, brighter and bolder presence. Finding a nice balance between progressive and melodic house, it’s a marriage of engaging arps and soulful vocal phrasing which carries the piece to a celestial sounding break and rejuvenating conclusion. The release concludes with the dreamy percussive qualities of ‘Elisium’. Full of detail and idiosyncrasies, the Spaniard crafts a clever coax of balmy key changes, drifting textures and ethereal melodies for a vibe that is equal parts serene and uplifting. Character and emotion are at a premium across the final act, as modulation peaks and Miguel reaffirms his ability to cast a spell over the listener to round out the EP in fine fashion.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the new year by welcoming ShemoW to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Sri Lanka, ShemoW's passion for music production was sparked after a viewing of the 2015 UMF After Movie trailer, a moment which marked his journey into becoming a DJ and producer. After years of honing his skills, the Rathnapura resident emerged with his first offerings in 2019, a trio of releases which laid the foundation for his future as a progressive house artist. 2024 proved to be the most impactful year, with ShemoW recording projects for 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection, Kodai and Soundteller, amongst others. Now firmly solidified as a newcomer to watch, ShemoW begins 2025 with his Dopamine White debut ‘Glitchwave'.

The charged progressive vibes of ‘Glitchwave' set the pace for ShemoW's two-track showcase. Beefy kick drums, pulsating grooves and rugged percussion lay the foundation for pyrotechnic synth mutations and orbiting effects to paint an electric storyboard, while an ominous break serves to build tension and anticipation onwards to a thunderous drop and cosmically correct finale.

The second and final selection 'Echoes in the Void' lands with equal dancefloor vigor, as ShemoW flexes his groove crafting prowess across the seven-minute piece. Mystical textures and filtered noise highlight a character-rich top line, as evolving percussive arrangements create a confident club energy leading into the break. ShemoW - Glitchwave EP

Continuing to add exciting new talent to their roster, Nikko.Zs Dopamine White welcomes VAN DL to the label for his debut EP. Cyprus based artist Lefkios Demetriou aka VAN DL has been immersed in electronic music for the better part of three decades. As a DJ first, the Larnaca resident made a name for himself through impeccable programming and borderless track selection. Having performed alongside internationally acclaimed DJs in Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Moguai and Steve Aoki, amongst others, VAN DL eventually turned his hand to electronic music production, making his debut in 2015. Fast forward ten years and the Cypriot artist has compiled a short but tidy resume with projects via Exx Boundless, Vesta Records and his own SoundBook Records imprint. Now, presenting his first release of 2025, VAN DL adds Dopamine White to his resume with Silent Echoes. The eerie qualities of Silent Echoes further cements VAN DLs unique take on melodic house and techno, forecasting a darker underbelly, spooky motifs and a fiery effects narrative. As somewhat of an extension to his previous projects, VAN DLs metallic motifs provide a memorable path into the main break, while roboticized vocals and colourful synth cascades are sure to cast a spell over the dancefloor. The companion piece Clash of Elements follows in fine style and further cements the Cypriots elusive vision. Hailing from Colombia, Alexander Rincon aka Alex Bessofen emerged from his countrys electronic music underground on the strength of early tracks THE BEGINNING and Queen Of Diamonds. Eventually finding a passion for progressive house, the Bogota resident would establish a groovy melodic sound, in turn notching releases via Balkan Connection, Clubsonica, Droid9 and Mango Alley. Also an established DJ, Alex has been a fixture of Colombias vibrant nightlife, showcasing his impeccable track selection and smooth programming skills alongside international greats in Hernan Cattaneo and Joris Voorn. Now, coming off a near three-year production hiatus, Alex gets the year underway with his Dopamine White debut Bogota DC, alongside a remix from Armandhe. The nostalgic progressive vibes of Bogota DC sets the pace for Alexs production return. Beefy kick drums, rolling grooves and precise percussive arrangements lay the foundation for retro-arps and haunted chord stabs to paint an engaging storyboard, while tasteful modulation and emerging textures deliver a memorable main break. The second and final original Calle 26 lands with a deeper dancefloor approach, as Alex flexes his groove crafting prowess across the six-minute piece. Meditative arps, deconstructed vocals and spacey effects highlight a misty top line, as rolling percussive arrangements create a smooth energy that is both calming and confident. The release concludes with Armandhe making his label debut with the lone interpretation of Bogota DC. Upon creating the Armandhe moniker in 2018, the Colombian artist has enjoyed a steady rise through the progressive underground. With 2024 being highlighted by a contribution to Clubsonicas popular Sampler Series, Armandhe now adds Dopamine White to his resume with a deep melodic rendition of Bogota DC. Taking a more direct dancefloor approach, Armandhe reassembles the framework with warm kick drums, rhythmic pulses and quirky effects. Hypnotic and energetic in equal measure, its an evolving narrative which delights across the break, tastefully creating a wall of calming radiance, as arpeggiated sequences melt down into a chugging groove-centric conclusion.

Now, fresh off a contribution to Droid9 South Americas New Era Chapter 1 collection, Lean adds Dopamine White to his resume with Pandora. The percussive vibes of Pandora sets the pace for Leans sprawling Dopamine debut. Warm kick drums, rolling basslines and woody percussive arrangements lay the foundation for delicate melodic fragments and gloriously textured effects to paint a rejuvenating storyboard, while a break of trance-inducing melodies and blurred reverberations deliver a colourful soundscape to spearhead an epic finale. The second selection Find Yourself lands with equal dancefloor vigor, as Lean flexes his melody crafting prowess across the seven minute piece. Chugging basslines provide the anchor for effervescent effects and heartfelt sonics to highlight a misty top line, continually evolving as clattering percussion and rebounding rhythms create a club energy that is both stirring and confident. Lean Agüero - Pandora EP

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White presents new interpretations of Yashar's ‘Aphrodite' EP. Released in April of 2020, the four-track collection showcased the Iranian artist's progressive sound, eventually leading to his second Dopamine project, the ‘Chronos' EP which landed in July of the same year. 2021 has yielded further successes for the Tehran resident, with the release of his ‘Le Chat Persan' EP via Freegrant Music. Now as the year approaches its halfway mark, Dopamine White revisits the ‘Aphrodite' EP with new interpretations from Rich Curtis, NOIYSE PROJECT and Sohrab G.

The lone interpretations of ‘Aphrodite' are provided by Rich Curtis who makes his label debut following appearances on parent label Dopamine Music. Also laying claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Flow Vinyl and Proton Music, the Australian artist has remained at the forefront of the progressive movement since first appearing in 2010 with a release on Cid Inc's Replug Records. Now following a remix for Univack Records to begin the year, Rich makes his Dopamine White debut with two renditions of ‘Aphrodite'. The first, aptly titled ‘Charybdis Reprise' finds Rich crafting a heady yet emotional six-minute excursion into warm swells, icy soundscapes and rich textures. Dramatic and poignant in equal measure, it's a two-minute centrepiece which slowly sucks you into its emotional reservoir of sound, before tastefully segueing into a finale of nostalgic chord changes. Meanwhile, Rich's main mix focuses on the dance floor with dynamic beat layering, muscular grooves and neatly manicured percussion. Growling swells provide a unique emotional response as the narrative shifts into the main break, subtly building through timely modulation and tension filled overlays which perfectly set up a dark drop and groovy finale. 

The first interpretation of ‘Mandinga' is provided NOIYSE PROJECT who return to the label for their second appearance. The Sri Lankan duo have been touted as one of their country's fastest rising progressive acts. Upon making their debut in September of 2018, NOIYSE PROJECT have gone on to showcase their music via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, 3rd Avenue, BeatFreak Limited, Droid9 and Proton's Particles. Now following an EP for onedotsixtwo, NOIYSE PROJECT makes a welcome return to Dopamine White with a powerful remix of ‘Mandinga'. Tougher than the original, its bulbous framework is offset with crunchy rhythms, growling stabs and effervescent effects. Striking percussion adds further pace to the groove, while it's melodic narrative slowly draws you in. Reaching the main break, it is a storyboard of fragmented notes and sensory saturating effects which unite for spine tingled moments, perfectly setting up a thunderous drop and emotive conclusion. 

The release concludes with Sohrab G making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Mandinga'. Hailing from Tehran, Sohrab first appeared on the progressive scene in 2016 with releases on 3rd Avenue and Soundteller Records. The next four years saw Sohrab continue to work on his craft, landing key projects with Lonya's Asymmetric Recordings, Balkan Connection and Stellar Fountain. Continuing to push his unique melodic sound, Sohrab steps up to Dopamine White with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Mandinga'. Fluid rhythms, driving percussion and hazy harmonics set the course for this enchanting journey. Mounds of perfectly contoured bass roll forward with momentous swing, as emerging atmospheres and electric lines smoothly shift energy into a dramatic break. Tense yet hopeful, the centrepiece furthers the poignant narrative with a rising wave of melody and colour, eventually giving way to the voluptuous groove for a charged finale. A classy interpretation from the Iranian artist, which caps off a welcome remix edition for Yashar's ‘Aphrodite' EP. Don't miss it.

Mandinga (NOIYSE PROJECT Remix) [Dopamine White]

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes George Ledakis back to the label for his debut single. First appearing on the progressive music scene in 2016 with a release on 238W, the Greek artist went on to greater successes in the coming years. Just Movement and Movement Recordings became landing spots for George's timeless sound, while more recently he has found a home on Another Life Music and Inner Shah Recordings. Having made his Dopamine White debut in May of this year with a remix of Mad' by Lobor D, George now returns for a new single entitled Accalia', alongside remixes from KYOTTO and Maetim.

Sitting comfortably in cross genre territory George crafts a modern framework complete with buzzing rhythms and perfectly manicured percussion. Diversifying his portfolio further, George's masterstroke here is to collaborate and introduce the sublime vocals of Chumani. Cross-cultural wails come in waves, creating a soulful canopy atop crisp beats and striking electronics. Opening further across the main break, Chumani's vocal is utilized to perfection, rising gently against a backdrop of percussive flurries as the groove drops for a heady finale.

The first interpretation of Accalia' is provided by KYOTTO who returns to the label for his fourth appearance. Tipped as one of progressive music's top newcomers, the Sri Lankan artist has found a comfortable home on the Greek imprint. The 2020 release of his I Am Back' EP marked his label debut which was shortly followed by a remix of Marcelo Vasami's Destiny' later that same year. Now following projects for 3rd Avenue, Mango Alley and PHW Elements, KYOTTO returns to Dopamine White with a groovy take on Accalia'. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of warm beats, rolling swells and subterranean bass converge for a wall of momentous energy. Processed pianos add a newfound melodic theme as the first act evolves, sparsely dancing atop the shapely groove and eventually melting down into a tense yet emotive break. Spanning nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece reveals an indistinct take on the vocal, effortlessly marrying granular swells and reaching a spiritual apex as the beats drop for a tastefully musical finale.

The release concludes with Maetim making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of Accalia'. Born in Mauritius and now based in France, Maetim's deep grooves and mesmerizing harmonies have found a home on Inner Shah Recordings and Uxoa Dutxa Elite. Continuing to add to his meticulous discography, Meatim now debuts on Dopamine White with a nostalgic take on Accalia'. Chumani's vocals breathe beautifully over top a cavernous framework, complete with rolling percussion and spacious bass stabs, eventually leading to a section of cosmic effects. Symphonic and heartfelt, a tantalizing break sits at the core of the piece, laced with percussive flurries and elastic-like designs, it's tactful build is sure to grab the attention of your dance floor, while a dubby finale keeps things on the right side of cool. An inspired remix from Maetim which caps off another excellent offering from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White continues a strong start to the year by welcoming VegaZ SL and Imal SL to the label for their debut EP. Based in Sri Lanka, both VegaZ and Imal are early on into their journey's as electronic music producers, however they have both found solid footing in short order. With a combined discography that includes releases via BCSA, Droid9 South America, Nature Rec, One Of A Kind and SLC-6 Music, this is a duo that shows just how talented the up-and-coming crop of Sri Lankan artists are. Now continuing on that upward trajectory, VegaZ and Imal debut on Dopamine White with ‘Beneath the Surface'.
Beginning with the title track, VegaZ and Imal present a stylish blend of rhythm and groove. Warm beats and a chunky low-end power the foundation, while acid-like effects and ghostly soundscapes add depth and colour across the first act. Spanning over two minutes in length, a melodic centrepiece sits at the core of the journey, gently building anticipation through fluttery motifs and gaseous sweeps, before a quiet calm resets the groove for a driving finale.
The companion piece ‘See You on the Other Side' caps off the EP with a gorgeous reflective vibe. A touch deeper than its predecessor, it's a voluptuous groove and layers of clattering percussion which set the course for hypnotic lines and tranquil melodies to work their magic. Atmospheric swells and fragmented arps rise at timely moments as the story unfolds, perfectly setting the stage for another expansive centrepiece. Tastefully melodic, the interlude exudes a nostalgic warmth, before shifting mood as metallic arps unite and ultimately spearhead a glowing apex. Continuing a strong spring season, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Rockka back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Sri Lanka Rockka aka Lakith Adikaram has been releasing his own unique style of progressive music for the better part of three years. Although younger than most of his contemporaries, the Nugegoda resident has already compiled an impressive resume, showcasing his music via Balkan Connection, Droid9, Freegrant Music and One Of A Kind, and in turn earning support from genre tastemaker Hernan Cattaneo. Having made his Dopamine White debut in 2021 with ‘Night Rockets', Rockka now makes a welcome return to the label with a three-track showcase entitled ‘Carnage'.

Beginning with the title selection ‘Carnage', Rockka displays that groovy progressive style for which he has become known. Led by a tough chunky groove, its dance floor sensibility is high from the outset, as rhythms ripple and percussion flickers across the first act. Phasing atmospheres and a swaying arp descend over the hypnagogic groove leading into the break, bringing with them tension filled refrains and a slow tactful build which is sure to win over even the most discerning aficionados.

Selection two ‘Mon Desir' finds Rockka continuing to operate at a creative peak as he crafts a midset percussive gem of a track. The Sri Lankan artist carries a mystical vibes through sweeping effects and haunting phasing, before a break of shimmering pads and misty melodies seals its emotive appeal.

The release concludes with the peak time vibes of ‘Olimpus'. Tempo rises a touch but Rockka's uncanny ability to balance groove and atmosphere remains, as chugging grooves, lively percussive arrangements and an array of precise effects unite for a great sense of depth and space. The main break serves to further the narrative through waves of hazy refrains and phasing textures, eventually leading to a flurry of drums and a finale that is equal parts driving and cosmic. It rounds out three powerful tracks from Rockka, an artist who continues to excite as he emerges from Sri Lanka's burgeoning progressive scene.

Based in Pakistan, Stereo Munk and Dublew have been frequent collaborators for the better part of five years. Often finding a creative balance between progressive and organic house, the duo has taken their superlative sound to well established imprints such as 3rd Avenue, Mango Alley and Movement Recordings, while earning support from genre trendsetter Hernan Cattaneo. Continuing to deliver fresh music across 2023, Dublew & Stereo Munk now add Dopamine White to their resume with ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star', alongside remixes from Dark Soul Project and Maze 28.

Beginning with the Original mix Dublew & Stereo Munk masterfully synthesize their talents into one singular progressive minded vision. Warm punchy beats and a spacious groove set the foundation for a narrative of metallic fragments, cosmic effects and heartfelt harmonics. Pushing a melodic mood into the break; the duo marries glowing pads with balmy synth phrasing, building emotion with each successive pass, as orbiting effects tease the senses, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and smooth meditative finale.

With a career that spans well over a decade Argentinean artist Dark Soul Project has remained a fixture of the progressive house underground, showcasing his groovy percussive sound via Balkan Connection, Proton Music and Sound Avenue, while world class DJs John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Laurant Garnier, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been supporters of his work. Having appeared on label affiliate Dopamine Music on two previous occasions, Dark Soul Project now debuts on the label's ‘White' subsidiary with a stellar rendition of ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star'. While maintaining the elusive spirit of the original, the Argentinean artist crafts a version aimed squarely at the dancefloor, one where redolent themes, fragmented vocals and symphonic chord stabs blanket a beefed up groove and flashing percussive arrangements. Coming to full fruition across the main break, it's a bucolic college of texture, effects and deconstructed vocals which serves to elevate mood onwards to a supremely rhythmic conclusion.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the spring season by welcoming Nikola Jovanovic to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Serbia, Nikola Jovanovic has emerged from his country's progressive house scene with a sound that showcases driving rhythms and melodic hooks. 2023 proved to be a breakout year for the Belgrade resident, with a creative swell of releases landing on BCSA, Deep Down Music and Future Avenue, and in turn earning support from some of the genre's tastemakers, most notably Nick Warren. Now, continuing what has been a prolific start to the new year, Nikola adds Dopamine White to his resume with ‘Deception', alongside a remix from Influence (IN).

Taking cues from the nostalgic sounds of the genre, Nikola crafts a groovy journey into the darker depths of progressive house with ‘Deception'. With a mysterious and deeply compelling architecture built around around chunky basslines, buzzing sonics and catch synth hooks, it's a series of peaks and valleys which ultimately makes for such a memorable dancefloor experience, one where an emotive break cleverly coaxes delicate melodies and glowing atmospheres for a groove-centric finale. The companion piece ‘Elemental' finds Nikola delivering another quirky progressive excursion that's nicely suited for those uplifting club moments. Squelchy synth lines and ghostly vocal gates combined with a smooth rolling framework and nicely manicured percussion provide a path into an atmospheric break. The lone interpretation of ‘Deception' is provided by Influence (IN) who makes his label debut. Based in India, Influence (IN) first emerged in 2021 with his ‘Lost Path' EP. Coming courtesy of Kash Trivedi's Lohit Deep, it was an auspicious debut for the newcomer, one which showcased his affinity for deep organic grooves and cross-cultural themes. Projects for BCSA, Future Avenue, Magic Room and more landed with much praise across the next two years, making the Indian artist yet another rising talent to watch. 2023 proved to be the most impactful year in the evolution of Influence's sound however, recording projects for Droid9, Juicebox Music and John OO Fleming's JOOF Aura. Now, presenting his first remix of 2024, Influence (IN) debuts on Dopamine White with a huge rendition of ‘Deception'. With a creative approach, Influence (IN) remodels the track into a thunderous slice of progressive house. Bound together by a hypno-architecture, it's a blend of muscular beats, shapeshifting effects, panning vocal fragments and hopeful overlays which ultimately carries this cruising journey, one where Influence (IN) unlocks a refined part of his studio repertoire.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White wraps up a strong spring season by welcoming Jadon Fonka to the label for his debut EP. Sri Lankan artist Anupa Fonseka aka Jadon Fonka released his first project in 2017, and over the course of the last seven years has followed a seldom travelled path. Rather than focus on one distinctive style, Jadon has released EDM, Electro House, House, Progressive House and more. A project via Hardwell's Revealed Recordings in 2019 has been a discography highlight, earning the support of EDM tastemakers such as Timmy Trumpet, Mike Williams, Lumberjack and many more. 2023 would see Jadon put a firmer focus on progressive house however, becoming one of the genre's more prolific newcomers and in turn recording projects for 3rd Avenue, BCSA, Droid9 and SLC-6 Music, amongst others. Now following a well-received debut for Balkan Connection, Jadon adds Dopamine White to his resume with 'Former Times / Perfect Crime'. Beginning with 'Former Times', Jadon continues his club-effective progressive style. Full of charged energies, the Colombo resident expertly blends punchy kick drums and electric grooves with crunchy rhythms and astral sonics. Granular effects, deconstructed vocals and hopefully melodies steal the air, furthering the first movement leading into the break. A thought-provoking vocal sample takes centrestage here, bringing with it moments of anticipation and intrigue, before swirling atmospheres melt down amidst a bed of clustered drums and rumbling sonics, perfectly setting the stage for a drop of main room alchemy. The companion piece 'Perfect Crime' finds Jadon flexing a groovier side of his repertoire. Powerful beats and chunky basslines serve as the anchor for cross-cultural motifs, muted bass stabs and a strong effects narrative to intertwine for a smooth yet uplifting first act. The breakdown delivers a strong dose of controlled chaos, as orbiting effects, waves of noise and an ominous vocal sample unite, before a rush of drums and gritty textures cues an epic finale to round out the EP on a large note.

Jadon Fonka - Former Times [Dopamine White]

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the month of October by welcoming Felipe Garcia (UY) and Luciano Pelliza to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Uruguay and inspired by Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Sasha, Felipe Garcia has an innate ability to tell a story within his brand of progressive music. Although just three years into his production career, long standing imprints such as 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection, Deep Down Music and Droid9 have been a landing spots for Felipe's progressive sound, as he continues to establish his place amongst the genre's rising talents. Meanwhile, hailing from Argentina, Luciano Pelliza has emerged from his country's progressive house scene as an artist to watch. A pair of releases in 2022 via Transensations and Or Two Strangers affiliate Strangers Beats brought attention to the talented Cordoba resident, a rising force who had firmly established a groovy yet melodic take on the genre. Moving forward, the next two calendar years proved to be huge for Luciano, as he built on that early momentum with a consistent and more prolific release schedule, one highlighted by projects for Deep Down Music, Droid9, Mango Alley and Or Two Strangers, amongst others. Now, combining their extensive forces for the first time, Felipe and Luciano debut on Dopamine White with ‘Gravity Falls', alongside a remix from Enzo Paradiso & Felipe Gurascier.

Beginning with the original mix, the duo's craftsmanship reveals itself in what is a deep retro production aimed squarely at the dancefloor. A DJ friendly intro sets the pace for billowed chord stabs and flickering percussive arrangements to layer a tough, rolling bassline. Carving out a smooth path into the break, it's a series of vocal fragments which prelude an emerging melody, resulting in a strong emotional response. As the interlude melts down to a quiet calm, anticipation is high, with balmy atmospheres and muted melodies eventually revealing further vocal deconstructions, before segueing into a groovy, key-changing finale.

Rounding out the release with the lone interpretation of ‘Gravity Falls' is Enzo Paradiso & Felipe Gurascier. Hailing from Uruguay, both Enzo and Felipe have achieved measurable success across their respective careers. Their discographies are highlighted by releases via Mango Alley, MNL and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. Now paired together for Dopamine White, Enzo and Felipe debut on the label with an inspired take on ‘Gravity Falls'. Opting for a deeper approach, the duo marry shapely grooves and rolling percussion with flickering sonics and balmy atmospheres. Hopeful melodies and trance inducing textures take centrestage across the main break, bringing equal amounts of exhilaration and serenity, before clustered sonics and a gentle build spark a groove-centric drop and glowing finale.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Halishan, Bayca and Alex - T to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Sri Lanka, Tunisia and Sri Lanka respectively, this trio of artists have all achieved measurable success in their solo careers. With a combined discography that includes releases via Bonzai, Innerselves, Symmetric, Timeless Moment and more, the trio has more than made their mark with a sound that often finds the creative space between progressive house and melodic house and techno. Now, combining their extensive forces for Dopamine White, Halishan, Bayca and Alex - T debut on the label with ‘Back to Civilization'.

The EP's first selection ‘Sound of Echoes' is provided by Halishan & Alex - T. Having worked on previous projects for Cafe De Anatolia, Elastic Dimension and Symmetric, the duo's creative synergy continues to grow on their Dopamine debut. Complete with many of the duo's beloved production hallmarks, it's a stripped down chunky groove which sets the pace for hopeful vocal pads, vibrant tones and uniquely polished percussion to create a timeless storyboard leading into the break. Melting down to the vocal pads and wispy effects creates an air of anticipation across the interlude, before a pitch-bending arp emerges for grooved out finale.

The EP's second and final selection finds Halishan and Bayca collaborating on ‘Mesopotamia'. With a tough percussive framework the duo's craftsmanship reveals itself across the expansive journey, one where punchy kick drums and low-slung bass lines get peppered with skittering rhythms and carefully placed atmospheric refrains. Both intimate and wide-ranging, it's a meditative break which engulfs your attention whole, creating a ceremonial backdrop for misty glitches and cross-cultural overtones to paint a scenic storyboard onwards to a rejuvenating finale.

Continuing what has been a prolific year, Nikko.Zs Dopamine White welcomes Nicolas Alcaraz to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, but currently based in Brazil, Nicolas Alcaraz is a new name in the world of progressive and organic house. After years of perfecting his studio skills, the Balneário Camboriú resident made his debut in October of this year with a contribution to Nordic Voyages popular Deep Aurora Nights series. The wispy organic qualities of Calma showcased Nicolas penchant for crafting soulful electronic music with an emphasis on exotic drums and evolving melodic structures. Now, embarking on the first EP project of his young career, Nicolas debuts on Dopamine White with Mind Free. Beginning with the enchanting vibes of the title selection, Nicolas craftsmanship shines throughout, as dubby tonal themes and percolating effects shapeshift atop muscular kick drums and chunky grooves. Its this smooth amalgamation of sound which leads to the introduction of a strong vocal narrative, carving out a soulful path into a thought provoking break, one which proves to be both tense and emotive. Creamy keys and percolating effects steal the air amidst fragmented vocals for a thought-provoking mood across the interlude, eventually giving way to a groove-centric finale. Beneath the nostalgic sounds of Mind Free lies the equally impressive Too Much. Here Nicolas elusive production chops serve him well as he crafts an expansive journey that is bursting with ultrasonic qualities and a keen sense of rhythm and groove. Flowing through shuffled percussive arrangements and tasteful melodic fragments, the first act evolves with a keen sense of flow, eventually revealing a darker monochrome which drives energy into the break. Not content to rest on his laurels, Nicolas pushes his creative boundaries further here, introducing a deconstructed vocal, as orbiting effects and a vortex of noise ultimately summons a huge finale to round out the release on an epic note.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White continues a strong start to the new year by welcoming NOIYSE PROJECT to the label for their debut EP. The Sri Lankan duo have been touted as one of their country's fastest rising progressive acts. Upon making their debut in September of 2018, NOIYSE PROJECT have gone on to showcase their music on Balkan Connection, BeatFreak Limited, Droid9, Proton's Particles and Stellar Fountain. Now making their first appearance on Dopamine White, the duo present their 'Northern Lights' EP.

NOIYSE PROJECT's career momentum continues to rise with the lead track 'Northern Lights'. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, chunky groove comes electronic rhythms and finely tuned percussion. It's powerful drive is encased in a never ending swirl of cosmic effects and cross cultural fragments, for what results in an otherworldly feel. Clocking in at over two minutes in length the main break proves impactful, gracefully melting down to a sonic sizzle and hopeful musicality, before warm bass swells elevate the mood towards a pulsating finale.

The journey continues with the deep, chugging vibes of 'Black Is You'. Immediately captivating, it's harmonic hooks and catchy effects make for a groovy first act. Rolling percussion and fierce stabs play off a sultry low end, making for an irresistible, hip swinging groove leading into the break. Phasing concepts and ghostly vocals create a compelling canopy of sound, perfectly rooted by warm bassy rumblings glowing atmospheres, before smoothly transitioning into a tasteful build and epic finale.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the reflective qualities of 'Leaving the Summer'. Beginning with perfectly sculpted beats and a wide array of percussive meanderings, it's immediately compelling from the start. Warm atmospheres and bubbly arps gently encase the framework, as a prominent tonal theme drives momentum forward. Soulful instrumentation trails across the backdrop, carrying effortlessly into the break, building emotion with each successive loop before smoothly segueing into a powerful final act. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an inspired collection of music from NOIYSE PROJECT, who look set to be one of 2020's most beloved progressive house acts.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Dinusha Ranasinghe aka Echo Daft to the label for his debut EP ‘The Magic of Nature'. Following his first release in 2018, projects for Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records and Soundteller Records quickly made him one of Sri Lanka's top up and coming artists. Now the Colombo resident presents his first productions of 2020 alongside remixes from Fabri Lopez and Teklix. 
Beginning with ‘The Magic of Nature' Echo Daft explores the deeper spectrum of progressive minded house. Its warm, fluid groove is perfectly contoured, adorned with finely tuned percussion, glistening chimes and subtle shades and tones. Its luminous lead theme comes to full fruition during the main break, veering into emotive territory, before a tasteful arp pulls you back into a meditative state for a spellbinding finale. The companion piece ‘Dishonest Horn' follows a similar sonic ethos with a slight lean closer to peak time territory. Sitting at the foundation is a robust, rolling groove, lively rhythms and waves of fiery percussion. Mysterious and mystical from the outset, the piece flows through icy pads and gaseous atmospheres, before a distinctive tonal theme highlights the main break, sparking an exhilarating drop and finale. 
The lone interpretation of ‘The Magic of Nature' is provided by Fabri Lopez who makes his label debut. Hailing from Villa Mercedes, the Argentinean artist has been hyped as one of his country's top up and coming progressive house producers. Releases on Balkan Connection and Clubsonica Records coupled with support from Hernan Cattaneo highlight his career thus far. Now following a well received single for AMITABHA Fabri debuts on Dopamine While with a groovy interpretation of ‘The Magic of Nature'. Adding more of a pure progressive vibe, Fabri reshapes the groove into something much chunkier and more distinct, while catchy arps and clattering percussion fill in the framework. The main theme translates nicely, sitting gently under the surface, before elegantly opening up as the narrative evolves into a classy final act.
The release concludes with Teklix providing the lone interpretation of ‘Dishonest Horn'. Much like Echo Daft, Nisal Jay aka Teklix has been touted as one Sri Lanka's progressive new breed, already landing releases on Droid9 and Massive Harmony Records. Now landing on Dopamine White for his first appearance, Teklix rounds out the release with a powerful rendition of ‘Dishonest Horn'. The Colombo resident crafts a fuller rendition which appropriately carries more energy and tempo than the original. Its drive quickly becomes infectious, propelled by percussive cadence, twisted arps and phasing noise. Ominous pads rise into the main break, elevating mood, tension and scope before a powerful roll sparks a huge finale. A massive remix from Teklix which caps off another essential release for Nikko.Z's Dopamine White. Don't miss it.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes KYOTTO to the label for his debut EP. The Sri Lankan artist first appeared on the progressive music scene in 2017 with releases on Clinique Recordings, Hot Cue Music and Zephyr Music. The following two years yielded similar successes with a string of releases for Polyptych. Now following a contribution to the Shagara Records 'Stelliferous' compilation, KYOTTO debuts on Dopamine White with 'I Am Back'.

Beginning with the peak times vibes of 'Antimony' you get an immediate sense that KYOTTO has crafted some of his finest work to date. Tastefully melodic, it's vibrant arps and hopeful atmospheres unite for a smooth but powerful first act. Low end swells and layers of drums add depth and rhythm, before segueing into a near two-minute centrepiece. Free and flowing, the break builds tension through subtle modulation and emerging atmospheres, before a wave of drums sparks a powerful drop and exhilarating finale.

Continuing with 'State of Mind' KYOTTO goes a bit deeper with a roomier groove and spacious framework. Chunky bass tones and rolling percussion immediately create a great sense of rhythm, as spacey arps percolate across the first act. Add to that an array of astral effects and an expansive break and you've got something to bring fire to your dance floor.

Rounding out the release are the deeper more reflective qualities of 'Sweet Escape'. Perhaps the most heartfelt of the three, it relies on low slung grooves, hypnotic arps and dynamic percussion to carry it's stripped back groove. Once again warm overlays add a lovely sense of emotion, while sweeping effects and bubbly electronics highlight the main break. Quirky and creative, it makes for an intriguing conclusion to a superb collection of music from KYOTTO who makes an excellent Dopamine White debut.

I Am Back

KYOTTO  - Sweet Escape [Dopamine White]

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens 2021 by showcasing new interpretations of Marcelo Vasami's ‘Destiny'. Originally released in 2015 on parent label Dopamine Music, it was the Argentinean artist's debut on the label, eventually leading to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. Dopamine White now invites Paul Deep, KYOTTO and Yashar to reinvigorate the track for the new year. 

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Destiny' is Paul Deep. The Argentinean artist has been a regular contributor to parent label Dopamine Music, in addition to finding a home on Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, Or Two Strangers and Sudbeat Music. Now getting the new year off to a great start the Buenos Aires resident provides a powerful rendition of ‘Destiny'. Fluid rhythms, driving percussion and hazy harmonics set the course for this enchanting journey. Mounds of perfectly contoured bass roll forward with momentous swing, as emerging atmospheres and electric lines smoothly shift energy into a dramatic break. Tense yet hopeful, the centrepiece furthers the electric narrative with percussive flurries and hypnotic overlays resetting the groove for a charged finale.

Returning to the label and providing the second interpretation of ‘Destiny' is KYOTTO. Tipped as one of progressive music's top newcomers, the Sri Lankan artist is coming off his best year to date, highlighted by releases on 3rd Avenue, Polyptych and Soundteller Records. 2020 also featured the Sri Lankan's Dopamine White debut with the well received ‘I Am Back' EP. Now returning to the label to begin the year, KYOTTO dials in a gorgeous interpretation of ‘Destiny'. Smooth yet robust, the piece flows through a storyboard of undulating bass, chunky rhythms and fragmented melodies, before shifting energy into an otherworldly break. Played out over two magical minutes, the centrepiece is nostalgic in nature, projecting positivity and emotion, as tranquil arps and aquatic effects cue a pulsating final movement.

Rounding out the release with the third and final interpretation of ‘Destiny' is label stalwart Yashar. The Iranian artist delivered two original projects for Dopamine White across 2020, with ‘Aphrodite' and ‘Chronos' released in April and July respectively. Having also remixed Lucas Rossi's ‘Systematic' in September, the Tehran resident now returns for a second remix to begin 2021. Beginning with bulbous beats and detailed percussion, it's the hypnotic nature of the groove which becomes instantly compelling. Pulsating and full of great character, it anchors what is a drummy yet atmospheric slice of progressive house. Hitting early, the main break melts down to a soft cinematic sizzle, as crunchy sonics gently rise towards a groovy drop and meditative finale. A heady interpretation from the Iranian artist, which caps off a welcome remix edition for Marcelo Vasami's ‘Destiny'.

Dopamine Music is a Greek electronic imprint founded in the summer of 2012 by artist and DJ Nikko.Z.
