A Corroboree is a generic word for a gathering of Australian Aboriginal peoples. It may be a sacred ceremony, a festive celebration, or of a warlike character. The ceremony happens often around a bonfire and includes usually dance, music, costume and often body decoration. 
A word coined by the first British settlers in the Sydney area from a word in the local Dharug language. "Corroboree" explores the transformation of the human spirit, the relationship between Aboriginal people, creatures, and the land, and what it is that unifies us as human beings. 

Corroboree is about challenging, awakening, and cleansing the spirit.
