Cem Karaca ( born April 5, 1945 in Istanbul's Bakırköy district, † February 8, 2004 in Istanbul) was a Turkish rock musician and a representative of the Anadolu rock movement.

he was accused of inciting the population against the government with his songs. After the military coup in 1980, an arrest warrant was issued against him and he was deprived of his citizenship. Since 1979 Karaca has therefore lived in exile in the Federal Republic of Germany, namely in Cologne.
