Recorded in 1999, this was mixed live and contains tracks from all the vinyl releases between number 16 and number 30 on V Recordings, which were released between 1996 and 1999. 

The mix was recorded onto Minidisc and then transferred on to CD. There is only 1 copy in existence and it was gifted to a friend. Check my Instagram page for images of the CD sleeve and inlays which contains the tracklisting!

This is the 2nd part of 2 mixes spanning the first 30 releases on the label.

this is chapter 23 in a series of mixes called 'trust me i was there'. its been a while since i last uploaded a mix - reminds me of when i got my first job (aged 14, in canning town) where i was nicknamed 'arthur' cos i only ever did 'alf a' job. 
its been a great year, i've been working on lots of new music and hanging out with my kids lots, which is pretty much perfect... but i'll try to be a bit more consistent with these mixes.

the music in this mix, and the previous ones are the tracks that were played in the clubs i was playing and raving at, and on the radio stations i was on. in '93 i think i was on format fm with my dj partner swift - with a load of other great characters.

just listening back to this mix - when i heard 'Johnny Jungle' it took me back to a specific moment... I used to go Boogie Times as often as i could, and sometimes you'd catch Hype behind the counter scratching, which was a big deal cos we all used to check him on pulse, but the day that i remember really clearly was when i was in the shop with a few other punters and Pascal walked in and went through to the Office. Must be the same time that Johnny Jungle was about, and the whole place went quiet, and we were all like 'wow, you know who that was who just walked through? it was PASCAL'. I doubt many people realise how influential he was, or that he helped G start headz, all the old face recs stuff. what a dappa.

Jungle set from a recent radio show - no mic on this one so is all about the music! You can catch me live on a brand new station  http://www.alpharadio.live/ar/ fortnightly, on friday evenings 10-12 gmt. First show is on the launch evening Friday 6th October so try and get tuned in to hear me live!

Then Saturday 7th October you can catch me on a house tip at The Beehive in St Albans - event starts at 9pm and finishes 1am, my set time is tbc. Free entry so catch me dropping somne old classics at that one! Also on the line up is Chief Billy Udon, Midnite City and Rob Focuz.

Finally (for now!) i will be doing 2 more live sets on the Monday Bass Excursion show on Monday 9th October, which will also be going out on Alpha Radio but will be on air with hardcorefm.co.uk too. I will be playing eclectic/influences from 7-8pm, Rob Focuz with Techno from 8-9pm, special guest Beat Assasins will be on from 9-10pm with full on dnb set, then i will be doing an hour Jungle set from 10-11pm.
