It's an honor to present the third installment of the Press Play series to you all.

Born and raised in Miami, @HtPktOfficial grew up playing guitar and writing music in local rock and jazz bands, culminating in his formal education in jazz guitar at the University of Miami. 

He channels these vast sources of inspiration and technical knowledge into his unique style of production, incorporating elements and ideas from many different styles of music.

Not only does this include his wild remix of "Second Nature" that is featured on HypeM, but it's also perfectly epitomized in this month's mix.

We’re back with another mix for part four of the Press Play series! 

This month we’re happy to showcase the talents of Prince Mozart. This Midwest producer hails from Chicago and comes from one of the most diverse parts of the city.

We get a chance to experience this diversity with the mixture of future wave sounds as well as dope flips from some of his favorite tracks from over the years. Prince Mozart spent quality time digging through his library of records to create a smooth, yet hype-worthy mix.

It doesn’t take long to notice that the mix flows between throwback jams and current slappers. But, no matter what era the track may come from, it flows with an electronic flare that makes it both modern and exclusive to Prince Mozart.

It’s a pleasure to welcome the start of May with ENCOSY on the roster as the featured monthly artist. 

This producer, vocalist and DJ originally from Queens currently resides in Los Angeles and stays true to his east coast roots. We fortunately get to experience this in Press Play 005 as ENCOSY delivers a unique flavor to the traditional Jersey club sound. While the mix offers plenty of bed squeak and booty bouncing, it also adds an intimately chill wave over the vibrant club energy.

For the month of June it is an absolute pleasure to showcase @JackLaboz as our artist of the month!

This 19-year-old artist, producer and vocalist based out of New York City definitely knows how to hustle. Outside of his artistic talents, Jack also attends NYU’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts where he also co-founded an Electronic/R&B inspired record label called @CoffeehouseLabel.

However, even with the strong Bobcat network and vibrant sounds of the label, Jack continues to push himself as a solo artist. This year will be especially exciting for him with focused efforts on the growing as a singer through Jack’s original music and versions where he sings over his remixed productions. 

After a few sneak peeks of what else is in store for this promising young talent, we definitely look forward to the next chapter for Jack Laboz and certainly hope you enjoy the interview!

It’s officially summertime! 

In order to match the fun and the craze that comes with the prime month of the season, we are fortunate enough to host the sounds of SLEEPYCATT for Press Play 007.

This electronic musician hailing from Hamilton, Ontario continues leading the forefront for a new movement in the Canadian music scene. His unique sound drifts between club and trap with fast tempos, tight vocal chops, and hard-hitting bass.

While SLEEPYCATT may find inspiration for this unique blend of music from the nightlife of the northeastern United States, every note and vibe is the result of true artistry. Four years of jazz bass are the foundation for this up-and-comer’s journey and the sounds of physical instruments and jazz theory are certainly being heard. 

Specifically, this man holds two noteworthy accomplishments so far. Not only did SLEEPYCATT earn a spot in the top 10 for Juno’s Turn It On: Sound off competition in 2015, but he also more recently won a Wavo remix competition by JoJo herself for “FAB” with the help from a few homies.

Clearly, this Canadian Club Boi knows traditional music as well as award-winning remixes and fortunately we get both with the seventh installment of our series. To get to know him more, be sure to peep the interview that goes with the mix.
