Queen Pheen a Spoken Word Artist was born on the Eastside of Baltimore but raised on the Westside. Inspired by her mother who is a former rapper (Darling Dena) of the local known all-female group (Fabulous Females) she picked up a pen and paper at the age of 10 and wrote her first piece. She fell in love with hip hop but never like the direction was it headed in for females. So at age 12 &1/2 when she wrote he first rap she dubbed herself the female Jigga…inspired by Jay-Z’s Blueprint album she wrote her first rap Mo’ Truth, which she didn’t say out loud to anyone outside of family until she was 14 and she joined a trio of guys called 4EY (4EvaYoung) going by the name Byrd. Shortly after that summer she decided to go back to her first love Poetry and wrote down her life’s experiences. Around the end of her high school senior year, she joined the group The Team renaming herself Jayla Byrd. This lasted for about two years and then decided to go to college to pursue her passion, Fashion. During this time she was inspired by some college open mic nights to speak her poetry again and was not long after that while on a night out with her family that became a part of Get Addicted still under the name Jayla Byrd. So as the story goes she gave up on rap again it would stay that way for 4 years until she came back in contact with a childhood friend Stoney who introduced her to the members of the Skull Mob and became a part of Rough Family Productions. Unfortunately after discovering that there was another artist by the name of Phoenix, she decided that to change her name. She held a contest and Queen Pheen became her. She is now as a Spoken Word Artist and Femcee under M.A.M Records and she is continuously writing and recording. She is dropping her 2nd mixtape "The Innocence Project" 10/08/2020...These songs are from the lost files in the Queen Pheen archives. There will be one visual for this to be announced soon...Next she anticipates to drop her Long awaited album "Long Live Queen Pheen". This album is the story of her life thus far. It will feature the spoken word single "Plans"  featuring Ivy and hip hop single "Comeback King" ft. Taz Spitta and Jay McGraw". “I’m a do me I’m a do Pheen.Get you addicted turn you into a dope Pheen…High so strong have you on a gangsta lean and I’m the Queen!” Pheen wants to take Spoken Word to places it’s never known. She wants to leave the scene with a bang...Her goodbye will be set to drop Dec. 2020...😘
