Seph & Morgan’s debut album Teamwork takes a slow dive into a quieting, vibrant world of peaceful contemplation. Analog synthesis and cassette multi-track recording combine in minimalist improvisations filled with focused warmth, deep nostalgia, and wordless imagination. 

Teamwork is a strange and welcome departure for its authors, who are both equally adept at producing hi-fi club music. Seph & Morgan are Sudi Wachspress (a.k.a. Space Ghost, King Space Man) and ‘Morgan’. The two had adjacent tracks on Astro Nautico’s 2012 compilation Atlantics Vol. 2, but had never met at that point. When Morgan moved to Oakland in 2015, he and Wachspress connected. Teamwork is the work of this team. It is a series of inspired compositions created across two home recording sessions by longtime members of the Astro Nautico community, the record of a lightning-fast exchange somehow years in the making. 

While living together, Morgan and Wachspress temporarily set up an all-hardware space to create in their home. An array of analog polysynths provided a tender, moody sound palette, including woozy, detuned string pads and aquatic filter leads. The artists ran these signals straight to cassette, layering hiss and fuzz and field recordings to give the sound a full sense of place. The result could induce a state of hypnotic contemplation or score your late night drive. Whether played at home, in a forest or a prayer room, Teamwork is a perfect companion to living life. Take it at your own pace.

Following his recent releases on Tartelet Records and OYE, Uffe kicks off the Nos Classics label with a record consisting of three mutated disco tracks that marks the start of his own new Copenhagen-based label.

Run together with fellow Tartelet affiliates VKTR and Jeppe Wolmer (of Vivian International) The first records A-side is a dubbed out percussive testament to the darkest and saddest times of Uffe's life. A2 is a melodic and dreamy homage to one certain apartement located on the Lijnbaangracht in the Jordaan area in Amsterdam. On the top floor of this worn down old house there was light to be found in these dark times.

On the flip-side tings gets trippy. The title track finds Uffe deeply intertwined in an occult-like bass-heavy ritual. An attempt to escape reality and cure the scandinavian misanthropy and the grey weather it comes with. A twelve minute voodoo disco tool perfectly crafted for a dancefloor which most probably does not exist.
