‚Flimmer Jam‘ is the first encounter after entering the ‚Vertical Garden‘ cultivated by Aroma Pitch. It welcomes you with fluid synthesizer percussion, some subtle drums and deep bass. With all its emerging and vanishing elements you can grasp the quirky and vivid atmosphere of this EP.

Next up is the stomping and demanding ‚Tiergarten III‘. While the percussion with the snatching clap dominate the straight forward direction of this track, the morphing synthesizer modulation tell you a total different story.

‚Mandarine Dream‘ is a spectrum full of space expanding frequencies lead by charming drums and percussion. Slowly slowly this track drags you down to its exotic and fruity inner core. All wrapped up with sweet pads.

After an observing examination it is still unclear what ‚DTDMB‘ stands for. Is it a biochemical reaction or a mutating energy field? A plant or more vital residents in the garden? It will remain to be a secret. However it is clear that it contains razor sharp percussion with whispering effects on top and a quirky baseline that will make you boogie to the left and right.

This EP is full of optimistic and engaging gestures for the modern dance floor. With the ‚Vertical Garden‘ and their mindful craftsmanship Aroma Pitch grew organically to the next level.

Aroma Pitch - Vertical Garden EP (Preview)

Our new premiere takes a track from 'tak €2', a new release on Cologne-based label, Dorfjungs. The album features 8 tracks, recorded by different Cologne-based musicians, and then composed and arranged by Gianni Brezzo.

'Hybrid', the track we are hereby premiering, has become a Loose Lips obsession over the past few weeks. Played on multiple radio shows and in many a bedroom! It combines wonderful guitar work, with tight energetic drums, and a heavenly synth breakdown.

The release is available on the 3rd March on 12" vinyl, limited to 300 copies. The record comes in a crayon-painted cover, showing a holiday landscape with beach, sea, mountains and two sunshades. You can buy the release here - http://www.kompakt.fm/releases/tak_2.

ARTIST PROFILE:

He grew up in Italy and then came to Cologne to make music. He’s influenced by club music as well, and recorded the album with people he met in Cologne's dark depths. Simple and amazing.

»Waggons« marks the third Motip White release on Dorfjungs. After the two previous EPs »Lywer Bent« and »The White EP« this one feels drunken yet still more defined. Motip White delivers four thrilling tracks composed of colourful and warm techno, house and electronic hybrids. His EP contains bass driven dance songs as well as cautious and charming anthems. While every song has got its special elements with the typical Motip White sound, they all work equally well on the dance floor and at home. The smooth and calm fourth track ends the vinyl but is actually caught up by the euphoric digital bonus »Simia«, which brings the EP to a surprising though satisfying (digital) end.
