Mit driving OK ist unter dem Label heavy shit ein Stück mit rustikaler Linienführung aber durchwegs leistungsstarkem Antrieb entstanden.
Der still parked edit illustriert verblüffend die Dialektik zwischen der zielstrebigen Abfahrt und dem Wunsch zu verweilen beim zelebrieren des Erntedank-Festes.
Eine Rumpel-Nummer die, wenn überhaupt, richtig laut genossen werden kann.

With driving OK, a piece with rustic lines and consistently powerful drive has been created under the label heavy shit.
The still parked edit amazingly illustrates the dialectic between the stampede and the desire to linger while celebrating Thanksgiving.
Rumble techno that can be enjoyed really loud, if at all.

Experimenting with espeak voice synthesis. I loaded some rendered words as one file into the octatrack and sliced up the words so I could use them in a rythmic way. To add some melodic variation to the voice, I used the comb filter on the fader, which sounds a bit vocoder-like.

(the command line used was: espeak -a 200 -g 50 -z -p 0 -s 131 "I think I'm paranoid need my tinfoil hat tin foil wear I" -w Desktop/tinfoilHat.wav )

The octatrack also was loaded with some atmospheric samples: a whispering loop, old phone dialling, dial tone, military helicopter and scared breathing (I think I found them on freesound.org). Additionally it plays some drums. The master channel has some reverb and a bit distorted compression. At the end I use a very short retrigger time on the "I" from espeak with distortion and filtering via scene fader for some whobbly sound.

The analog four plays two base sounds, the pad (controlled by the keyboard) that shows up here and there and some 3/4th synth hit. It is also routed through the octatrack's master channel.

I recorded the octatrack's output with a Zoom Q4, there was no further audio processing afterwards.
