This is a piece about contrasts in nature - dark and light, yin and yang, good and bad. I wanted to convey that we are emotionally complex beings and never only one side of the pole. We have the potential for opposites in all things. I feel like this message can get lost in our culture. If we learn to embrace our shadow I believe it will give us power and insight.

Exploration and personal reflection on the theme of constant and inevitable change during a major depression. It’s also an expression of an inner struggle and a state where impermanence manifests itself poignantly. Hope that the dark moments will eventually give way to new perspectives.
