Whether you believe that everything happens for a reason or every
single event is merely unrelated coincidence, I think it’s fair to say
that we are all grateful that these four human organisms collided in
the ether, coming together to accidentally form one of Los Angeles’
most interesting new bands. The project introduces Skyler Van
Sweringen, marking her debut on lyrics and lead vocals, Joshua
Jacober, a multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer
extraordinaire, Ryan Paul Marchina on guitars, keys and production
and rounding out the quartet is Craig Jackson on guitars, bass,
background vocals and production, the former lead singer of
Melbourne’s “Gersey” with an Australian rock pedigree dating back
to 1997, touring and recording amongst some of rock’s great indie
titans such as “Pavement,” “The Flaming Lips,” and “Wilco.”

Doris & The Daggers’ sound is built upon dark yet sentimental
subject matter, catchy hooks and dreamy yet sometimes raw
instrumentation. What the audience is left with are songs that
continue to mutate after each listen as the layers of sound and
verse slowly reveal themselves from the dark shadows in search of
a warming light.
