After the hubub of Necronomicon 2012 died down here in St. Petersburg, FL, I had a chance to talk briefly with indie author Lakisha Spletzer briefly about her career as a self published author of paranormal romance, fantasy and young adult novels. She talked about the lessons that she has learned during her time as an author and gave some advice to those who may be considering the life of self-publishing.

I spoke with indie author K.L. Nappier as Necronomicon 2012 was winding down. You can hear some background sounds from people in the hotel lobby coming and going, but we persevered. Nappier talks briefly about her career as an indie (and "traditional" at the start of her career) author writing dark fantasy and thrillers. She also offers up some advice for those who are indie authors, from her time and experiences.
