Bittersweet

Descent represents a turn in my life due to my overwhelming curiosity to try different things. I explored an almost hedonistic lifestyle. It's meant to convey the feelings and emotions I underwent while constantly partying. Although the times were fun, I saw how it really brought out a different side of those around me, not to mention myself.

Descent

Following through from where descent left off, this track explores my curiosity into drugs. I am reminded of one particular moment where it did not go well. My ventures got me to a place where I had a really bad trip that was borderline traumatizing. I can laugh about it now, but in the moment it was not fun. Needless to say, I'm not putting myself through that situation again.

Faded

This is gunna sound weird but 'nightcap' is my love letter to alcohol. I don't really love it btw, its just a fascinating curiosity. I like trying different drinks and seeing what the night brings. Or as the name suggest, having a drink before sleep. I've had some interesting dreams because of it.

Nightcap

The melody for this intro was taken from one of my earlier projects when I first started really getting serious about making music. Partly inspired by Ryuichi Sakamoto & Alva Noto's score from 'The Revenant', I purposed this intro to really ease the listener into what they were about to get into.

Intro

In music, a resolution is bringing a chord journey (the chord progression) "home", usually back to where you began the progression.

I chose 'resolve' as a fitting name for a couple reasons: 
1. Its meaning in music.
2. A brave woman I met from Ukraine. For someone who has been through so much, I've never met someone so determined to persevere through such hard struggles. 

This is for you. :)

Slow Down

If there's anything I've learned from my trip to Europe, they love saying ciao as a goodbye. I chose an almost classic western vibe with the inclusion of the guitar melody. Like I'm riding out into the sunset till the next time I return. 

And I do plan to return.

Ciao (Outro)

Ghost is a track I created a while ago but never had a proper place to put in on any of my projects, till now. It refers to my constant wandering late at night. I have the habit of walking around the streets late at night when no one is around. It's very peaceful and I'm usually the only one in the area. Its a comforting allure of being alone.

Ghost

I, like many people in this world, struggle with anxiety. This track was made with an intentionally strange sound which is kind of off-putting yet still hypnotic. My anxiety reared its ugly head in many different parts of my trip. From police encounters, witnessing fights, travel issues, meeting new people, there was no shortage of interesting moments from this trip.

Anxious

This is for a very special woman in my life. The Waterfront represents a pier we would go to frequently to see the water and the sunset. This was truly one of the best moments of my life getting to spend time with her and see her as relaxed and at peace as I was in each other's company.
