Description: I decided to have another go and try to do something a bit more creative. It's quite short, but I like it.

This is rather creative. Smooth, but with some heavy feeling.

I don't like it all. You aren't matching up chords or rhythm at all, just sounds like you mashed a bunch of tracks together

Like here, you put a piano track ontop of some crappy saw track, no attention to chords or the melody at all

Unlike some people, I think this is great! Music has no boundaries of chord progressions. Those who stay in a chord progression of scared of exploring the possibilities that -is- music. Spread your wings and fly!

Eric Whitacre provided the stems from the Virtual Choir 4 project to the fans and gave them the option to remix them ( you can read all about it at http://ericwhitacre.com/the-virtual-choir/remix).

So I started a list that highlights every remix so far that adds significant new material to differentiate it from the ones that did more straightforward re-engineering of the stems.

To be clear - all you have to do to get on the list is compose or produce additional parts. The list is not meant to say which mixes are "good" (which is very subjective) - just which ones have added new things to the composition (which is a lot easier to talk about).

Update August 20th, 2013: It's getting trickier to know which remixes to include and which ones not to. I thought it was a pretty straightforward criteria of "adding new material", but when the old material is chopped up and processed a lot but no new parts are added, should that be included? Tricky stuff. Feel free to let me know what you think!

All three of my previous remixes joined up and blended into one. All sounds from the VC4 remix pack.
I didn't plan to do this but it just happened to work...I do visual collage and I treated the sound material in a similar way (which worked!) thanks to all who listen, fave and download. I do sing, but I didn't sing in this project.

Fly to Paradise-memories/want/bliss

A Chopin piece re-arranged in order to show contrast between realistic reproduction of musicality, and near impossible playing only achieved by simulation.

Experimenting with the mix, tried a few things here and there and I like where this mix is headed. I also tried to use a VST ampsim called Emissary by Ignite Amps instead of the POD and I must say, this is the best amp simulator I have heard so far. I usually need to do a bit of pre EQ and use stomps before the amp because my guitar lacks bite but I didn't need any of this with this amp. What you hear is the guitar straight into the amp, straight into the cab which is quite impressive.

The song is an old quickie I wrote a few years ago when I tried to make Superior Drummer presets, no idea what the idea means anymore and it is nothing groundbreaking at all but it was fun to play!
