With a string of successful releases already in their discography, Digitaria are no amateurs when it comes to creating memorable and unique dance floor hits. After putting out albums on both Hot Creations and International DJ Gigolos, the duo make their debut on Items & Things with the expertly crafted and undeniably authentic, 'Starburst Poems'.

Jumping off is the title track: A hypnotizing blend of spooky triplets laid over a rugged 'four to the floor' kick drum. As the wobbly lead constantly twists and turns, short sonic blasts of digital artifacts create the perfect contrast between organic euphoria and technological precision.

As with the title track, 'Again and Again' follows suit with a master combination of the natural and synthetic as the duo entwines a rich looping piano with seductive sine tones creating the perfect balance between polar opposites. All the while a haunting female vocal recites the track title resulting in an emotionally enchanting ride.

Wrapping up the EP is 'Over and Over‘, and again the duo create a uniquely magical odyssey by having opposing forces meet head-on. While rigid percussion constructs the foundation, wild arpeggios come to life establishing a strange, yet engaging campaign that fits superbly to any time and place.

Exclusive DAF 'Goldenes Spielzeug (LOR Remix)'

German avant-garde post punk techno-band DAF, short for Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, was formed in Dusseldorf in 1977 as a five piece group that winnowed down to two members in the end, Gabi Delgado and Robert Görl. Almost 40 years after their first album, 'Ein Produkt der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Freundschaft', a special vinyl box, consisting of the very first four albums and 15 exclusive reworks, is set to be released including LOR's remix for DAF's cut 'Goldenes Spielzeug'. The Belfast based producer comes along with a clean interpretation of the original that finds its home in the space between the house and techno genre, simply using few synth chords to emphasize DAF's lyrics and make the track sound like a timeless yet contemporary piece of music that retells a piece of electronic music's history in the presen,t or as DAF would say it's 'a golden toy' for the dance floors.

Exclusive LOR 'Inversnaid'

Belfast genius Gregory Ferguson, mostly known under his LOR alias, short for Lunar Orbit Rendezvous, makes his debut on Get Physical Music with his EP 'Inversnaid'. The two tracker depicts LOR's musical re-invention and comes along with soundscapes and arrangements that have not been heard before. 'Inversnaid' is a mixture of spherical sounds combined with an asynchron bass line topped with slight Acid bleeps that sub the vocal while the clap pushes the track forward. Even though the track consists of elements that are common, LOR creates an atmosphere and hence a piece of music that deserves to be described as extraordinary. Maybe 'Inversnaid' is not the artist's re-invention but more a new musical invention. 

LOR's EP 'Inversnaid' will be released on Get Physical Music on March 2nd, 2018.

Premiere: LOR - Mystery To The Viewer [Warm]

We’re happy to premiere a new single from incredibly talented producer hailing from Belfast, Lunar Orbit Rendevouz aka LOR. ‘In this detail’ is a part of new 'Mystery To The Viewer' EP which will be released via influential record label Warm on June 8th. 

 In ‘In this Detail’ LOR starts right away with some fancy percussion, while incorporating the classic dramatic synth sound that is recognized across the whole EP. This time making making this track more suitable for a late night set, with elements to get the dance floor grooving. LOR continues to shine on this one, utilizing a reverb heavy hypnotic style of sound design through the track.

Another dear friend of the label returns. We proudly present Mashk who delivers a brand new EP for Cinematique.

It has been over a year already when Mashk's beautiful single 'La Haut' was released on our label. As we totally love and feel the emotion in his productions, it it needless to say that we looked forward to this follow up. Two brand new original tracks, 'Immanence' and 'I Got', and once again, such beautifully crafted music.

'I Got' comes in two different add on flavours as well. First up we welcome Zusammenklang, a well known member of the melodic techno family with releases under his belt on Oliver Schories' SOSO label and Solee's Parquet Recordings. He's been on our list for a while and we're very happy with his reinterpretation of 'I Got'. And finally, a special bonus comes from Mashk himself with an intense classical and so called 'cinematique' version of the title track.
