Making their debut on Purified Records, Underdave and Nyxma unveil their captivating ‘Silent Ascension’ EP. The release showcases their ability to craft deep, introspective house music, with two stunning tracks that blend emotive melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. 

The title track, ‘Silent Ascension’, is a reflective slice of deep melodic house, featuring a rapturous melody and stunning vocals that float effortlessly above the production, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere. The second track, ‘Innocent’, takes a slightly different direction, with catchy trill-like synth work that adds texture to its introspective journey. Also a vocal cut, ‘Innocent’ carries a soft, melancholic tone that complements its rich, melodic soundscape.

The ‘Silent Ascension’ EP artwork features a photograph of Humpback whales taken by Rachel Moore. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

Humpback whales play a vital role in the carbon cycle, each sequestering 33,000 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime — the equivalent of driving a gas-powered car 132,000 km. "Stay" began during a jam session where I was experimenting with a new virtual instrument I had just picked up called Anamorph. There was no intention to write a full track at the time; I was simply exploring what the instrument could do. Because of that, I wasn’t too precious about the parts I was laying down but I quickly grew fond of the idea forming! It all started with the main riff. I loved how it evolved over time and I kept jamming with it. Everything fell into place from there! “Stay" has since become one of the most requested IDs in my sets, and it’s always a lot of fun to play live! I’m excited that it’s out and even more excited to have my first release with Insomniac and their ‘Interstellar’ imprint. - Marsh
