After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. « When I Look » featuring Shaun J. Wright (Hercules & Love Affair) is classic vocal house with a twist of tension and despair. This is Chicago-styled – from Joe Smooth to Derrick Carter –, summer-ready dance music with high production values, yet it also slightly sounds like something’s going wrong in there. Just the perfect balance between an uplifting celebration and a restless, dark pounding.
 
Opening with a sample from a Twin Peaks episode, « It Is Happening Again » is a freaky, early acid number, designed for a rave settled in a mental institution. Deep burnt just like Bobmo’s soul, it’s reminiscent of nineties acid techno, both US and Euro, but exhales something eerily sensual too.

A couple of months ago, when we heard that we were going to get to mix our first Essential Mix, we had absolutely no idea what we were going to do. It's a very big deal for us to do this mix. We decided to use a lot of old records and tracks that we really liked when we first started playing together in our hometown in Poland. That's why, for example, we asked Jacek Sienkiewicz to send us 'Dream Machine' and also why we included Michael Mayer 'Speaker'.
There is a lot of old vinyl that we included especially for our Essential Mix. Harry Kane, T-RWKR, Arto Mwambe, Needs, Terry Brooks and one of our all time favourite records from Alex Cortex that we even edited specially. We really have to thank Axel Boman for introducing us to Bassroots 'Good Life' and Marcin Czubala because we discovered Sofrito Specials through him.
There is something from our label Pets Recordings, that our friend Nikola Baytala from San Francisco will put out at the end of May. It will be his first EP for many years and this track is probably one of the most trippy things we've ever released. That's why we love it so much! There are a lot of tracks in the mix that have their own story but, for now, we're gonna let the music speak for itself'. Catz 'n Dogz, April 2013.
