Into the Summer Haze

The 2nd isolation inspired and vinyl only mix recorded on 11th April, 2020. This COVID-19 lockdown has been a great excuse to go digging deep in the collection and revisit some of the amazing music hiding in there that hasn’t been surfaced for some time. Again, the mix ends with a deeply loved track that sounds like it needs to be in more peoples consciousness - played in full with as little interstitial mixing as possible.

This time it's Turkey's Insanlar and their amazing, epic track, Kime Ne, which adapts verses by 17th Cenury poet, Kul Nesimi. The track was recorded live at Mini Muzkhol, Istanbul, in 2010 and, thanks to Honest Jons, was finally released outside of Turkey in 2015. Powerful stuff.
