"Temporary" was recorded right after wrapping up the "Vanity Tape". My foundation is rooted in Rap/Hip-hop, but after years of traveling and meeting interesting people of different disciplines my music palette has just expanded in so many ways. I never want to feel trapped in one space and creatively "Temporary" is an expression of that sentiment and a culmination of my experiences thus far.

Story wise, I've always put my career first over romantic relationships. So when I do decide to court a love interest I'm not interested in anything that's fleeting or temporary. This is really me reassuring that special person that I'm ready to go the distance if/when they are!

True to its name, "CHOPPD" is a two-part sonic journey through the mind of Dot Cromwell. On the hard-hitting anthem produced by Swanky, Zane Durham, & JAYSON TODD, Cromwell plays a balancing act between pure bravado & deep-cutting introspection.

True to his independent roots, Cromwell continues to be a voice and ally for a generation of DIY artists, with lyrics like "I gotta do it if I want it right, all-nighters for a hundred nights" & "They want the credit but ain't do the work, leaders were soldiers don't ever forget it"!

At the song's halfway mark, the tone, feel, and sonics veer off to a more vulnerable direction channeling Cromwell's ability to pull beautiful lyrics from challenging places. Cromwell opens this stream of consciousness with "Overthinking did I really change, say she love me is it really game, had to cut some people out the frame, big picture they just wanted fame. From here, listeners follow Cromwell down a rabbit hole unpacking; topics such as police brutality, self-hate, community-based violence, and the systematic destruction of today's black family unit.

In signature style, Cromwell raps back and forth with himself battling between his lighter and darker vocal tones, while The Dan steps in on the backing vocals to softly meld this sonic masterpiece together!

"Goodbye Erykah" is an intergalactic love story taking place on a starship in the distant future. These two souls are bonded by an undying love yet separated by space, time, and circumstances. The title of this record is an ode to Erykah Badu, as the storyline is a futuristic take on her 1997 release, "Next Lifetime".

In the opening verse, Cocoa's character speaks to a woman who feels trapped in an unfulfilling relationship. However, she's reluctant to engage with her potentially true soulmate, for fear the years spent in her current relationship would have all been in vain. 

In the closing verse, Cromwell speaks to the other side of the coin. His character is trapped in a self inflicted purgatory, juggling multiple flings while hopelessly waiting for Cocoa.

"TUNNEL VISION" speaks to the unwavering level of confidence one must have in a sensory overloaded 21st century. At every corner there is a distraction waiting to pull your attention away from the task or goal at hand. On the speaker piercing track produced by Too Many Zooz, London & Cromwell exchange bars speaking the their level of focus, dedication, and determination to achieve their goals!

Additionally "TUNNEL VISION" was created as part of the "Philadelphia Eagles Gameday Poster present by Pepsi" for the NFL 22-23' season. The Eagles teamed up with a different visual and musical artist for every home game this season and challenged them to create a poster and music track that encapsulated that week's matchup. "TUNNEL VISION" was featured for The Eagles home game against The Packers!

Still reveling from the impact of "Ziploc", Dot Cromwell & BARii spin the block for seconds on "LYTE". 

The hard-hitting left of center production opens with a melodically infectious chorus from BARii. In so many words BARii shares how unamused he is by flexes from his peers and competitors.

In the spirit of keeping the bar raised Cromwell follows suit with lines like "Oh you a boss? get out of your deal" & "I ain't humble b**** I'm nice as shit" while The Dan pops in and out through the song reinforcing his sentiments.
