The Song Work describes how I felt dealing with work the last couple months. Work and also making Music has been a chore for me and I felt like I was drained of everything I had while making it.

It’s a feeling that surely everyone has experienced in their life. A feeling of doom and void, while also being anxious about not doing anything. I wanted to portray the bigger picture as it is usually not the task suffering under those feelings but the person suffering while doing it.

Music is something that I love and I hate at the same time. I never really accepted my own work as good work or rather music. I felt like an imposter in my own body: I wanted to be a musician so bad that I never really was one. I didn’t have fun singing in choir a lot, I didn’t have fun singing a lot generally, I didn’t have fun making music electronically. 

I was so fixated on the end goal: Being a musician and being as cool as a musician typically is. 

I forgot to enjoy the ride along the way. I love performing and that is something that I excel at.
But do I enjoy the pressure that comes with saying something like that? No ! 

Why should I do something I hate and that has hurt me so much the last couple months. I hate the pressure I feel while talking about music or the music I make. I RESENT IT! 

I love watching other people sing on instagram, making covers of songs and other stuff, but does it make me doubt myself my work and my very being?
Of course it does

Do I hate wanting to make videos just like that to get a reaction and feel like I’m “officially” a musician? 
Of course I do 

Would it be nice to see someone make music and just enjoy it instead of thinking about how I would have mixed the snare differently? 
Of course it would be.

Maybe I will become a doctor who knows
