Day That I Found You

A year to the day since their last release for RSD 2015, Dott celebrate Record Store 2016 with a free download of their cover of David Bowie's Heroes. They will perform at the Bowie Tribute Night in The Cracker Factory, NY on April 29th.

Dott moved from Ireland to Toronto, Canada this year and have evolved into a two-piece band. They have been experimenting with drum loops and home-recordings which will very soon culminate in the release of new material. 
New songs and US Tour dates to be announced very soon.

Dott - Heroes (David Bowie)

Beverly Baldwin, the new EP by Dott is out on Mirror Universe Tapes (NYC) on August 5th 2016. The EP was written and recorded by Anna & Evan of Dott during a year spent in Toronto, Canada following their marriage last year. 

The title, Baldwin Beverly, named for the part of Toronto where they recorded the EP in their tiny apartment and features guest vocals by Andrew Elstner (Torche) on their track Beautiful Face. The EP speaks about the subject of love; romantic and platonic and big changes in life such as getting married and moving to another country, far from many loved ones. 

Dott chose not to replace the other band members while in Canada, and instead evolved into a two-piece version of the band, experimenting with programmed drum loops and guitar effects as heard on Baldwin Beverly. The resulting sound is a dreamy and woozy approach to Dott's charming take on pop.
