This is the first part in a 3 part album series called "Blackcetera" in which I express the black experience through music. These are all instrumentals and will only be instrumentals, as I want the focus to be solely placed on the music. "The Darkness" to me represents that layer of the Black experience that does not get mentioned in the history books, that layer of the Black experience that is stereotyped on t.v., that layer of the Black experience that is not talked about even amongst Black people. This is how I see it. Welcome to the Darkness.
