- he released this free bittorent bundle with all his shelled songs months ago
- i have no one around me to sing on my "songs" and i'm bad at it so it's pretty cool to have super-clean vocal tracks like that to work with
- as i'm one of moby's groupies, that seems obvious that i had to use one of these vocal tracks to cover one of his songs
- i have to admit that i'm not 100% happy with this title but again, as i'm still a beginner, i do what i can. i like a few parts of it though.

i'm a huge fan of @apparat, this guy makes such awesome songs, his style is unique and absolutely insane!
me, well, i'm just a guy trying to learn how to compose a few songs, i've been playing guitar since years and started to learn the synth/piano recently. as a beginner, i had no clue how to compose an instrumental song from scratch so basically, i just took the song "pv" of apparat as a model and tried to make the same song by myself in order to learn, nothing more. at some point, i understood a lot of things while doing that and stopped to make something as close as possible of the original... so here is what i have done.

ps: apparat, if you read this by any chance: thank you (like... a lot!!!) for your music! seriously!

pv cover (based on the eponymous song by apparat)

two things inspired me for this song. first, the song "broken mirrors" by @chromaticsofficial. while working on the song i started playing around with those two piano chords, and well, the song turned out to be a bit cinematic. i was watching the show "sense8" at that time and thought that this song could match the dynamic of its action scenes... so i feel like sense8 also inspired me somehow for this one.

breakthrough

pretty hard to tell what genre is this one, when you mix hip-hop drums, oriental-kind of singing, soft acoustic guitar and high distortion guitar etc... but i like it.
while composing, i wanted some singing, but didn't like the idea to write something neither in english or french. and as i'm currently learning turkish (for no other reason than how beautiful this language sounds!), i just wrote a few lines in turkish. in the end, i believe that it really adds something to this song! :))

a while ago, i found this little melody on the acoustic guitar and thought it was interesting as an introduction for a song... i recorded it and just started from there, building an instrumental song around it. then i thought it could be great to have some singing on it. sometimes i write lyrics on different topics/emotions, so i searched which lyrics could i use in this song and decided to use these. i wrote them right after watching the "cobain" documentary on netflix, indeed about kurt cobain (i'm kind of a freak about this f' genius and nirvana in general). the documentary was very nice, focusing on the creative aspect of the guy, his childhood, stuff like that...
anyway, in the end, the song is slightly weird, as the melody on the acoustic guitar has nothing to do with the more electronic soundscapes that come after, and it's close to impossible to relate the whole instrumental part with the punk world. but who cares?

suffering is certainly one of the most inspiring feeling to me. when experiencing pain, i now always jump on the opportunity to access my shadow part (yes, the jungian concept) and work on myself ; my goal being to always seek for more mental/emotional stability, and to overall feel happier in this life.
i find any kind of art to be very therapeutic (painting, dancing, ...), but writing lyrics and composing songs are the best tools i've been using so far. no need to wait until we're the best artist out there, just write, create (with/despite your own technical limitations) what feels the closest to what you really feel, no exaggerations, no minimisations, be congruent, and boom, feelings transform!
