The urge to be deep in a dark basement club at who knows when in the morning, burning through the weekend like a 20 pack of cheap, bootleg smokes.  Medium Rare’s mood meastro Double Agent puts you in that space with his new double jam release “Creeper / Under Pressure”. A pair of smooth tempered, groove heavy club tunes that are ripe with character and round with rhythm. 

“Into the mind, I creep” boasts the vocal sample in Creeper, as the bass & beat interplay like experience and expectation. The wailing portamento raising urgency like a distant air raid siren.  Under Pressure also lifts vocal sampling into new realms with it’s vacant stanza breaking into cadence around the sub lead rhythm. Both sides of this release display an intelligent blend of groove and atmosphere in classic examples of why we treasure Double Agent as one of Medium Rare Recordings’ prime talents.
