Maxim Thierry, a rising producer based in Guangzhou, China, is known for crafting deep and dreamy tracks. After debuting with his first EP on Sous-Vide Records, he gained attention with the release of BKK EP on the Brazilian label Indica Label, marking the beginning of a fruitful and ongoing collaboration.

His latest EP reflects his journey and experiences in mainland China. The track 15 Days was created during the Covid-19 quarantine, while Meilan, Sanya, and Shenzhen are inspired by the cities he explored. Sanya, often referred to as the “Chinese Hawaii,” holds a special place in this collection.

The EP features remixes by Spiri:tual, Érratic, and doradice., each showcasing their unique signature styles. Having such a stellar lineup for the final EP of 2024 serves as both a perfect conclusion to the year and an exciting new beginning for our musical journey.

Panama’s own Avidel joins the label with a deep and subtle EP rooted in minimal and groove-heavy textures. Originally from Guararé, Los Santos, his sound has groovy rhythms with warm, organic touches—drawing on the percussive traditions he grew up around.

With past releases on RE.FACE, Tzinah, Bohrium, and Micronica, Avidel’s been carving out a name for himself in the underground. He’s also behind Homies, a local project that’s helped push Panama’s scene forward.

Remixes come from Daniel Meister, who adds a slick, club-ready edge, and Gianluca Felline, who takes things into deeper, late-night territory.

FINNEST presents "SAKURA" by Dkatt & Nic David, in its first reference of its division "Underground Series"

On side A, we can hear the main track, “Sakura”, a very elegant minimal with a bassline full of energy and movement accompanied by a full-bodied kick, stabs full of dynamite and some pads that take you straight to the sky.

As side B, “Meet Of Fate”, with a deeper bassline, this time accompanied by a very crunchy groove, beautiful melodies and amazing automations that make you feel like you are continually going up and down under the general vibe of the track.

Ultimately, there couldn't be a better presentation for the label than this great launch from these two great London-based producers.
