A little Buchla...

Finally got my all preset capable 200e up and running with the help of Doug from Studio.H.  Running so beautifully, and I came across this more melodic than usual happy little patch.

Buchla Cant Get Enough

1979 Compact Microsound Processor messing around with a sample audio track from the Octatrack and some standard buchla sounds.

Buchla CMP

All 1979 Buchla format modules, SVG, DAO, DR, and a light sprinkle of CMP playing a mostly self generating patch that sounded a lot like guitar harmonics with a mic close to an acoustic to me, some drumbass pluck accompaniment by the DAO in drum and kick modes.  Reminded me of the great Lenny Breau, master of guitar harmonics.

Acid Dark Downtempo

Two 259e's are the sound sources for this self playing patch. Both are in tracking mode with the mod oscillators modulating the morph in hard sync mode. The principal oscillators are in mem skew "b" mode at about 2 o'clock. Both then go to the 292e in LPF mode and then on to the 291e to create a resonant LPF filter effect. The lead part sequence is a 250e running in continuous mode, fed by the quantized random voltages from a 266e. The pulse out from the 250e creates envelopes in the 255. I make minor adjustments only to the morph and warp knobs on the oscillators during this recording. This is one pass with the 200e. An Eventide Timefactor provides reverb.
