London-based DJ and producer @uakoz delivers an hour of deep and melodic techno for no. 190 of the LWE mix series.

The artist joined SAE Institute in Milan in which he graduated with high marks. This achievement led him to moving to London to develop his musical career and broaden his perceptions of the underground scene.

Uakoz’s productions grabbed the attention of Spanish duo Pig&Dan, who signed his four-track EP ‘Handtrace’ to their imprint Elevate. After that he saw his career lift-off, having released a remix of Pig&Dan on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, and becoming a regular on the label. The Italian is now signed to a long list of labels including Planet Rhythm, KMS and Elevate and has played at events all over the globe.

Uakoz takes us on a journey of deep techno grooves with a sprinkle of obscure sounding pads, creating a dark atmosphere throughout the mix. In this hour of music, Uakoz tried to recreate the wam up debut he did for Re:Generate’s after party at Village Underground, before giving the control of the decks to Kevin Saunderson.

Doug Cooney lives and breathes techno within every facet of his life and has dedicated many years to the growth and well-being of the genre in Ireland. From setting up one of Ireland’s best techno labels RLSD to teaching in Bray Institute Of Further Education, alongside teaching his RLSD classes, to churning out proper techno 12 inches, there are few Irish DJs and producers that come close to Doug Cooney in terms of impact on the Irish techno scene.

Doug Cooney also boasts of being one of the most technically gifted DJs on the isle of Ireland. Meticulous attention to detail behind a set of turntables has seen Cooney share the booth with formidable techno figures such as Dave Clarke, James Ruskin, UVB, Mark Broom, and more. Doug has a number of distinguished international gigs under his belt, with a debut at the fabled Tresor in Berlin alongside HöR being the highlights.

In recent years Doug has been burning the midnight oil in the studio, crafting high-octane and distinctly functional techno tracks. Cooney has recently signed records with respected labels such as Ed Davenport's Counterchange, Orbis, GND, Gynoid, EFR, Bastardo Electrico, N&N Records, alongside RLSD Records his own imprint laying a solid foundation for his future in music. His productions have received support from Dave Clarke,  Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Rodhad, KR!Z, and Answer Code Request. Doug’s tracks have also been remixed by Aiken, Binny, Lee Holman, and Dystopian records' Jon Hester, proving his calibre in the international arena.
