Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Jean Caillou back to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Zurich, the Swiss artist has established himself in the world of organic house with releases on Magician On Duty, RYNTH, Sag and Tre and Underyourskin Records. Having made his Sound Avenue debut in 2019 with a remix of Joe Miller’s ‘The Last Of The Great Days’, Jean further established a bond with the label in 2020, reworking Bigasti & Balad’s ‘The Days’. Now returning to Sound Avenue for his first original project, Jean presents his ‘Departure Unknown’ EP, alongside a remix from Daniel Van Der Zwaag.

Spread across four tracks, Jean Caillou’s ‘Deeparture Unknown’ is an eclectic blend of electronica, organic and melodic house. Emotionally compelling throughout, the journey begins with the dulcet beats and dusty percussion of 'There'. It's romantic overtones and intriguing vocal stylings make for an irresistible first act, before emerging atmospheres blanket the proceedings for a chilling finale.

A new name on Manual Deep as we introduce Paul Losev from Miami, Florida. He isn't a complete newcomer to the scene though, as some of you might know him under his Paul2Paul moniker with which he had releases on Ready Mix Records and Lowplay Sound to name a few.

'Last Seconds' is a deep and moody piece of house music, full of emotion and melancholy. Warm, dreamy and mysterious - the perfect match for Manual Deep.

From slate-grey skies and industrial scenery, a Berlin portrait captures Daniel Helmstedt in "Luv / Lee". Majestic piano sequences sweep gently across a melodic landscape coalescing in sonic clouds that shift and transform. Rhythmic foundations criss-cross in regular patterns hewn into the mountainside in sweeping juxtaposition, while glassy synth phrasing glistens on ocean waves. Distorted patterns create a new cadence wrapped in emotive passages that cut through in bristling, sparkling formations.

A returning visitor, Haen reimagines "Lee" through a new lens where the Isle of Skye represents a magnificent sonic vision. Familiar motifs float across rocky percussive outcrops where violin passages permeate the lush verdant landscape and pulsating waves crash against the shoreline in elemental force. Meeting Molly and Mango forge a new friendship where subtle textures and reversed fragments crystalise into new sonic shards. A fluid, ever-changing scenery shimmers in melodic counterpoint and incongruent effects add a touch of intrigue. "Luv" takes a new form courtesy of Djimboh where memorable syncopation creates innovation and aural prowess. Delicate new shapes form a recognisable configuration in the path ahead and subterranean basslines emerge from the depths of the earth to steer a new route across the mountainside.

Lydmor & Bon Homme - the duo of Tomas Høffding and Jenny Rossander - are to release the third single from their exceptional debut LP.

‘Combining their powers like the Wonder Twins they have elevated the pop game with a touch of darkness, a smidgen of sass, and a whole lot of sex appeal’. (Nordic Spotlight) and now Tomas, (singer and bassist of Danish electronic pop trio WhoMade- Who) and Jenny (singer/ songwriter/ rising star) offer up ‘Missed Out On Disco’, a haunting piece of electronic pop presented here in four versions.

The original, which also appears on their album Seven Dreams of Fire, sees Lydmor and Bon Homme exchange vocals over a synth groove that echoes early 80s New Wave artists - a wistful, moving, modern pop classic.

Belgian electronic artist Pole Folder (Benoit Franquet) and Slovakia’s Just Hear team up on a killer remix which stretches the track out over seven and a half minutes and explores an even more emotional landscape. Jenny’s ethereal vocals are brought to the fore and swathes of melancholia are added through spacey pads and a stripped down, acid-tinged production.

Both the remix and original are also here in their instrumental versions, and draw attention to the amazing sound design and production Lydmor & Bon Homme are rightly celebrated for.

Orchestral Electronic Music.

A hyphen between orchestral and electronic music, emotion on the skin, an invitation to dreams and inner journeys: this is what could sum up Douran's project.

Rich in lyrical flights and nourished by cinematic influences, his tracks suspend us in time where pianos, violins and flutes mingle with synthesizers to open the doors into an epic universe that is delicate, sensitive and powerful all at once.

Fascinated by sound design as much as by melody, harmony and rhythm, this self-taught composer is involved at every stage of his music's composition, to create a personal sound lexicon and the right emotion for each of his pieces.

After 3 first EPs cumulating more than 5 million listens, collaborations with Louis Vuitton, Renault, Ford or Fila, and the composition of original music for television and cinema, Douran has reached a new milestone with his recent signing to Cercle Records, where his lastest EP "Wind Runner" has just been released on 8th February.

Douran is also working on other ambitious projects for 2024: composing the soundtrack for a Canal+ documentary to be released next September, new releases and a new live show...
