Just an idea we had for some crazy riffs, we envisioned making a video to go with this of some gigantic mechanical centipede erupting forth from the earth, firing lasers, and blowing stuff up.... seemed pretty cool hahaha.

Cowering within that which was set before us,
A self made prison handed down throughout the bloodlines of man.
Amassing our teachers and believing every word of a seemingly new path, spewing conjecture forth at the sight of any new wonder.
A crystalline layer forms over our hearts and minds.
A hyperborean shell which we gather unto ourselves,
Forging our own foundation, covering the stone which was already lain.

You spit in their faces and mock the very essence of that which you seek,
Dredging your barren path,
Rather than acknowledge that the way you've come held only premonitions of inevitable doom.
A numbness will sink into the mind with a gangrenous hold to make thee reprobate.

Permafrost encapsulates a land,
Forgotten by time.
Unsought by man, untouched for ages.
If broken two worlds shall merge, that once was and that which is.
Fragile is the mind in the throes of discovery.

If that which we see is not fully understood.
Foolish it is to claim mastery, over that which is not.

Deep beneath the waters, where the earth spews forth its fiery blood, engaging the ice above, calculation is the refuge of a man who fears to tread a world unseen.

Dour is a guitar duo forged within the bowels of a basement amongst the burial mounds of Appalachia.  Our style is some sort of metal, we’re sure of it. If we were to hazard a guess it would be Blackened Technical Death Metal with a light dusting of Progressive. Or you know, just metal.
