Dov1 is one of pioneers of bass music in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a producer his sounds are rooted in heavy bass and a blending digital and organic textures. Previously reviewed and featured by iDJ, Mixmag, URB and a wide range of quality publications, and his work at the root level of the Bay Area music scene makes his influence is felt from the underground upwards. 

As founder & owner of Muti Music he develops a large amount of talent and curates the sound of a lot of the music coming out of the US west coast bass music scenes. He recently also launched the new sub-labels to Muti Music, Medicine (with An-ten-nae) and Producer Dojo (with ill.Gates) and in the past has also managed and curated talent at Cyberset, Earthdance, EyePhunk and Fuel Records.  
Dov1 has rocked dance floors alongside many luminaries of Dance culture including Diplo, Bassnectar, Opiuo, ill.Gates, Gasslamp Killer, Excision, Eprom, Tipper, Freq Nasty, Zeds Dead to name a few. His diversity has also allowed him to hold it down in unusual situations like opening for Ferry Corsten, Boy George, Shpongle and even playing alongside and jamming with Shafqat Ali Khan.

Dov1 also produces under the name DnA with An-ten-nae, and has also produced collaborative tunes with ill.Gates, HNGVR, Hooves and Funk Monsta.

In a musical landscape dominated by American and Commonwealth producers, Bass Music's eastern European vanguards are an often-undersung breed of impressive composers and engineers. The Rust's most recent addition to our release catalog is a stalwart Siberian producer by the name of Coout, brandishing his first full length release, Time to Believe. 

Coout's style takes a heavy influence from a range of garage and breakbeat styles, fusing transient percussion and low-slung bass lines that rattle along harmonic peaks. Time to Believe coalesces these influences into a seven track album that focuses on emotive arrangements, delivering powerful phrases with a particular degree of harmony and ample vocal sampling. Blending rhythmic staccato with pulsing sub frequencies is the wheelhouse that Coout draws his primary strengths from, and he successfully pulls off his interpretation of full-spectrum music through clever breaks, tight turnarounds, and a generous serving of spatial swelling. 

For those who are looking for a relaxed infusion of rhythm, soul, and synthesis, Time to Believe should be the next must-have on your record wishlist.

Bursting onto the scene with an appetite for the psychedelic, Alien Speak is the stellar first release from Sylph, the musical alias of Emily Thaler. Based out of New York City, she has spent the last several years quietly expanding upon her production, composition, and engineering knowledge. The producer’s patience has paid off with a musical bounty worth it's weight in sub bass. Drawing from the font of psybient influence, each of the four tracks is a boisterous dance of pulsating frequencies. Glitchy harmonies and high-processed synthesis turn each moment into a downtempo tango between the visceral and the effervescent. With an obvious inclination towards arrangement and general musicality, the EP is a testament to an intrepid work ethic.
