Think of Get By! as a Joan Jett song — vocals with a broken cadence, distorted guitars, a pulsating bass, and striking drums. Hey, don't forget the crazy piano. 😉

This song was left half-finished for about two years, during which time I searched for female rock singers who were available for collabs. Along the way, there were countless rejections, always from artists who had incredible voices but didn't identify with the hard rock style. There were also artists who accepted the collab proposal, received the files, and then disappeared without a trace. From time to time, a talented artist would come along who agreed to sing, but the cadence of the verses was too complicated for them to reproduce. There were even some people who offered to create the vocals on Suno, but the weird cadence of the lyrics was really important to me, and there was no guarantee that the platform would follow that cadence. 

And so two years went by, but here's the song exactly as it was planned from the beginning. It was incredibly hard work, but it was worth it.
