Valentines Day Massacre Mixtape 🌹

Roots & Chalice is produced in collaboration with New York's Federation Sound and follows Chronixx' debut mixtape Start a Fire, which was done together with Major Lazer's Walshy Fire. Roots & Chalice compiles over 20 tracks and features tracks from previous projects revisited on new beats, current songs that haven't been part of any project and – this is the best part – new original songs exclusive to the mixtape.
Three new songs that are part of Roots & Chalice are now available on Soundcloud. Spanish Town Rockin' is contemporary and conscious Jamaican roots, while Majesty is a slice of vintage Studio One since it's recorded over Otis Gayle's marvelous I'll Be Around. Sell My Gun is produced by Teflon leans more towards dread dancehall.

All three tracks bodes well for Chronixx debut album slated for release in mid-2016, a set that will be accompanied by a worldwide tour together with his band Zincfence Redemption.

In combination style comes Nego Hights ‘The Warriah’ alongside Turbulence ‘Di Future’ bringing a heavy single, “Selassie I For Life.” Channeling their adoration and reverence for H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, Nego Hights and Turbulence linked with Wadadah II of D.O.V.E. Muzik to create a very profound song with wonderful melodies & lyrics. With an upbeat tempo and Roots-Reggae-Dub sound this song will have you skanking while being edified by the potent choice of words Nego and Turbulence chose to use within their lyrics. The phrase or ideal “Selassie I For Life” constantly echoes within the hearts of the Rastafari faithful, which is that message to carry on in this generation with righteousness and love by the example of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I. 
	
Slated to release March 2018 this will be Nego Hights’ first single of the year 2018. Recently Nego released an album entitled Judgement Morning in September 2013 with the D.O.V.E. Muzik label. Featuring 17 tracks from ‘the Warriah’ and various producers, the album received it’s greatest response with the song entitled I’m Feeling Like A Lion the first track on the album. Nego Hights, originally from Belize, has also done combinations with various Belizean artists such as Taprick, Ernestine Carballo, Nello Player, Denise Castillo, Ras Indio, Donkey Man & more. He has also hit combinations with Mexican Reggae artist Sgt. Remo when releasing Stronger In These Times a single featured on Sgt. Remo’s album entitled Sgt. Remo: Crucial Reggae Duets. This is another step into the future for Nego Hights and Turbulence. Turbulence a seasoned Reggae Music veteran has toured and worked with many artists such Sizzla Kalonji, Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Fantan Mojah, Capleton and most recently with Maikel Ante and El Medico from Mista Savona’s new compilation album entitled Havana Meets Kingston. Turbulence has touched stages in many countries around the world over a course of two and a half decades therefor granting him the title of an international Reggae artist. His discography is immense with over hundreds of singles and many albums. The teamwork of Wadadah II, Nego Hights and Turbulence brings us immense joy to see the rise of up and coming artists and producers mixed with seasoned artists.

   Tzaddi Wadadah-I aka “Fatha T” the elder and original founder of D.O.V.E. Muzik brings forth the true vibes of the original reggae from the foundation, the King's music, which is missing today in many aspects. Fatha T has been very active in reggae music since the late 1970’s. Being one who has hosted shows with the likes  Burning Spear, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs and more is a veteran of Reggae music and a Chicago Reggae icon. He is helping to mold a future for the upcoming youths of D.O.V.E Muzik’s label and is manager of the band. 
   Finally Wadadah-II as the leader, dub organizer, as well as DJ and engineer/producer of D.O.V.E. Muzik’s label, he draws his inspiration from the Almighty Jah to empower and word his singing. Wadadah-II adds a very spiritual element to the group on a whole through the music. Roots Reggae & Dub Reggae as well as Nyahbinghi chanting is what Wadadah-II manifests. 
   The first song published by D.O.V.E. Muzik’s record label was "Sentimental Girl" written by the True Democracy reggae band circa 1986. D.O.V.E. Muzik has now in the 21st century published locally & globally music for Nego Hights, Princess Kazayah, Ras I-Dre, Ras Arcane, Brando, Antonio Reid, Ganja Baby Productions, Tzaddi Wadadah I & more. Muzik's vital energy to come and scoop you up on a vibes train with the music so necessarily needed in this day & time, also for the on coming generations.
   The D.O.V.E. Muzik family recently debuted our live band for the first in Chicago November the 24th at the reggae capital of the midwest, The Wild Hare. Following that D.O.V.E. Muzik performed at the Double Door in Chicago December the 5th. Look out for or request the D.O.V.E. Family in your town.
