DOV is now sharing Mind High,  his first release of 2020 and the first single from his upcoming EP It Feels Right, due on July 24.

Mind High was created with DOV's good friend and frequent collaborator, fellow Israeli vocalist and queer artist Tesha. With an underlying snarling Korg bassline, the track glides through R'n'B melodies, jangling percussion and menacing guitar plucks, while Tesha's auto-tuned vocals sound both uncanny and alien.

DOV shares, "I was thinking about my everyday inner battles; against my demands, stress, and anxieties. With substances I could roam free in my deepest thoughts, open to what may come, and what needs to go. A mind high slows down time and quiets the noise. It provides a stage for your words and your emotions, as weird as they may be, and helps them find a space for expression."

Botany - "Once We Die"

"LEVITATE US has this pull to it - musically and lyrically, it's heading somewhere, constantly. I love the fact that it has these quirky little nuances, like rhythmic layers that almost sound like an animal trying to break free, and multiple sonic worlds just melting together. The song was developed in three steps - I wrote it on a basic instrumental I produced, then OSIVE, Sixtus Preiss and I had these super intense sessions in Vienna, then we finished it by just sending things around. Brave new world, so to speak. I have the feeling this process definitely worked for the track - it's about negotiating distance, and thisnaive sort of honesty. I added the Rhodes in the very end, it's great when sounds and lyrics resonate together as one."
