Formed in 2012, with live performances already recognised as a highlight of 2013 by Leeds Music Scene, Down Radio are a four piece from Leeds who have hit the ground running. They ended 2013’s festival season playing main stage at Bingley Music Live alongside the likes of Chic, The Cribs and Primal Scream.  

This year they have a growing list of festival appearances, including Brownstock, Beacons and Threshold. They will be premièring tracks from their explosive début EP, Transmission, due to be released 1 October 2014.

The Instigator is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming release.

Formed in Leeds in 2012, Down Radio have been rapidly gaining notoriety all over the UK with their own unique blend of Hip Hop, Dub and Alternative.

Having released their debut EP ‘Transmission’ and performing a string of festival appearances, including Beacons, Threshold and Brownstock, the band achieved a great deal in 2014 and have their sights set on conquering 2015 too, with blinding new material already being recorded.

Down Radio have firmly established themselves at the forefront of a new group of emerging artists, whose live shows combine powerful electronics and traditional instruments; the display is thoroughly entertaining and heart-stoppingly energetic.
