For the 19th EP on Heimlich Musik, Cologne-based producer Dario Klein delivers three gloomy bangers accompanied by remix contributions from JOIA, Samaha, Daniel Jaeger, Kapoor and Matija. Inspired by the unique vibe of the streets of Marrakech and based on live jams, the Djeema el Fna EP tells a story of music as a concept beyond consciousness. Built around melodic lead synths and broken
drums, dark basslines contribute to the mesmerizing aesthetic of the original mixes. JOIA’s interpretation of the title track puts on additional pressure with bass frequencies going right under your skin, while Samaha transforms Djeema el Fna into a euphoric hymn tailored for early morning hours. With an almost criminal bassline, Daniel Jaeger’s version of Rahmos is a housey floor killer. Kapoor’s remix sticks to the vibe of the original but adds a psychedelic touch using hypnotic arpeggios. Rounding up a diverse set of remixes, Matjia’s
version of Rahmos is a dreamy composition with a touch of optimism garnished by organic percussions.
The latest EP on Heimlich Musik is painting a colorful picture of downtempo ranging from smooth grooves over melodic tech to cutting-edge industrial bleeps.

Our friend Fabio connected us with Nikolai aka @Pshiuu half a year ago and we were blown away by his productions. He showed us a track that was currently in development and we loved it straight away. A weekend adventure in the north Seattle neighborhood of Green Lake with Lucy to create a dj mix. Disconnected from reality he was stalled by an endless loop. The layers! The layers! Oh the layers! A new journey was discovered...To recreate the loop he obsessed over so relentlessly. Together with Lucy and his trusty melodica, Moog Synthesizer, Juno 106 and handful of bottle caps his voyage began. The loop was all he thought about. With every added accompaniment the composition became more elaborate and more complex...but alas! Sections were missing! He called on his new friend Paul Gafni to record guitar. His style was a solid fit. The final bit was a voice, but who could be my voice? The best choice was Louise Matoso. Her velvety melodious voice would be perfect! Soon the loop was becoming a song and the journey was coming to an end. The only objective left was to find a home for the track. A big hug from Lucy gave him a great idea.

Our friend Fernando aka @Kvoox from @plurpurarecords gave this track a long, deep hug in his own special way and the result is this beautiful remix.
