In order to raise awareness of the needs of indigenous peoples, we are happy to be part of this great initiative and to join forces with our amazing colleagues from different parts of the world to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. 
 Indigenous peoples are inheritors and practitioners of unique cultures and ways of relating to people and the environment. They have retained social, cultural, economic, and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live.  
 Covid-19 and its consequences are keeping the whole world on alert. For more than a year now, we have been seeing new waves of outbreaks in several countries and regions of the world. In this sense, 500 million indigenous people, in urban or rural areas of the planet are also at risk because of their social vulnerability. The risk of indigenous genocide in the midst of the pandemic is dizzying and can have serious consequences since viruses and diseases of this type have contributed to reducing the world's indigenous population over the centuries.

Thus, several podcast channels have joined forces to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. This with a focus on donations for indigenous peoples affected by Covid-19 in Brazil led and managed by 'United for a Living Amazon', a volunteer movement made up of citizens and non-governmental organizations that have been working in the Amazon for decades, united for a common and urgent cause. Ich war noch Beate-Jungfrau, als ich am Sonntag barfuß über die flauschigen Teppiche trat. Es war erst halb acht, doch die Party war bereits in vollem Gange – @ghostofher und @ditolove begeisterten die frühen Downtempo-Lovers.

Die Freude und Dankbarkeit, hier spielen zu dürfen, wuchsen noch ein Stück. Um 23 Uhr war es dann soweit: Die Feierei lief dank @lucamusto auf Hochtouren, als ich die Decks übernahm.

„Oh shit...“, schoss es mir durch den Kopf. „Die ersten Tracks meines vorbereiteten Sets sind zu langsam und zu energielos für diese ausgelassene Stimmung.“
Doch ganz im Gegenteil! Die warmherzige Crowd schätzte den Stil- und Tempowechsel beim Aufbau des Sets und feierte mit Hingabe, bis es 2 Uhr schlug.

Vielen, vielen Dank an alle Tänzer:innen – eure Energie hat mich umgehauen! Ein großes Dankeschön an die Beate und vor allem an Julia, die Mut bewiesen hat, mir als Frischling diesen Slot zu geben.

Hallows' Eve holiday dates back thousands of years to the Celtic celebration of Samhain.
 ● Samhain was celebrated from Oct. 31 through Nov.1, as a way of welcoming the harvest and invoking the darker half of the year. The Celtics believed it's the one day a year where the barriers between the physical world and spirit world dissolve.

This time we are hosting Don Mescal, from Montreal.
Don Mescal, is a Montreal-based electronic DJ & Producer with more than 20 years of experience. He can be seen as a magician of musical diversity, a character full of energy & love, who has a huge repertoire of songs that will catch your senses and awakens your emotions. Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he loves to experiment with the traditions of world music and knows how to transfer it into a modern perspective to brew an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavour. His unique musical voyage combines a well-selected myriad of styles from Folktronica, Rub-a-Dub, Jungle & Tribal with a joyfully flamboyant vibe. In addition Don Mescal is the co-founder of Cosmovision Records, a collective created by a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada, based in Montréal.
