Somos El Fuego nace del encuentro creativo entre el productor mexicano Santiago Huesca, a.k.a. Alacrán del amor, y la cantante argentina Corina Lawrence. 

Entre las montañas de Tlayacapan, rodeados de naturaleza y aves exóticas, el dúo encontró inspiración y flow para su primer colaboración.

Somos El Fuego habla de mantener el temple mientras el mundo entero se consume. Más allá del movimiento y el juego deslumbrante de las luces y las sombras, el centro del fuego permanece siempre inmutable, y ese fuego arde en nuestro corazón.

Hay algo de nostalgia y de misterio en las melodías, que danzan en español y en portugués, conjugándose mansa y a la vez salvajemente con los ritmos ancestrales, haciendo que el oyente se adentre en un territorio que conoce y desconoce, dispuesto a dejarse encantar y perder.

There are no doubts that Nicolas Jaar is a legend, that Andara is gold, but regarding Carminho, whom most of you probably do not know, she is one of the most amazing Fado singers alive, and my very favorite female singer for many years . It's hard to put in words the magic of her voice, the soul and perfection of her singing, and most of all, the heritage of Portugal and Humanity that Fado music represents. We are delighted for having such piece of art and sharing it with the Downtempo Community.

Thank you beloved Andara, you never stop bringing light, art and Love to our lives on a daily basis and we could not imagine life or Octo without you!

Ladies and gentlemen, from a mysterious place in the Mesoamerican jungle we have found a treasure, a mystical object called Yokha. If you are ready to see it, it's a treasure that we will share with you today, come with us…

Yokha is a journey into the depths of the jungle, an invitation to a secret ritual. A spiritual union of energies between two souls connected through artistic creation. Conceived by Cyma and Janax Pacha, two sound artisans from South America who on this occasion immerse us in the rhythms of dances and melodic textures that, suspended like lianas, they dialogue harmoniously between the heat of the fire and the mysterious gazes of the jungle.

As one of the stellar releases of Cosmovision Records this year, a collaboration full of magic and colors. All this accompanied by 3 stars of folktronica and downtempo music such as Rodrigo Gallardo, Uji and our house artist Hajna, forming an EP full of life and nature elements that shine on its own.

The wonderful art was made by our genius friend El Tripador and as always, the download is free in "pay what you can" mode on Bandcamp plus available as well in all platforms.

 The story behind this edit from the creator : 
The idea got me on one of my trips in Portugal, an escape to the beautiful nature in ''BENAVENTE'' with some friends. ⛰🏝
It was a total silent admiration, as we were far from the city. And suddenly, a song started playing on one of my friends' phones and it was the full album ''Dream of this World'' by the talented and gifted ''Rachael's sessions''.
That inspired me hugely and gave me sudden goosebumps, the full album was like a dreamy experience, watching nature and breathing totally fresh air. all the sounds were whispering like ''Everything is gonna be alright, no worries'', it was medicine!
 All this experience ended up with a meditation session which cured the whole crew. 🙏😊

About the song:

The love that the universe has for us is limitless and time is only an illusion.

This song full of lessons caresses the soul and reminds it of where it comes from.

This song written by Marco Gonzalez was passed on to Mina Shankha during a trip to Mexico by her dear friend Artem, a sound therapist specialized in medicine songs. When she came back to France, Hajna fell under the spell of this song which he offered to record.

About this EP:
Almanecer is a portal, a mystical metaphor for the concept of "Birth of the Soul", an awakening to consciousness through sound harmonies and frequencies on a very special journey. A treasure that will give endless beauty and peace to whoever takes the time to discover it.
In a new collaboration between the creative energies of the great artist Mina Shanka, bringing a unique magic with her almost heavenly voice, plus the talented and eclectic producer Hajna, prolific creator of big releases for Cosmovision Records and more. Both artists from France with a passion for the sounds of global folklore and electronic music, today they come together again to sculpt a meaningful musical piece full of soul and love for music.
The EP consists of 3 original songs which is enriched with 4 remixes full of musical synchrony that explore the most electronic sounds as well as the ideas most linked to Latin American folklore by figures such as DVNIEL, Manu Ela, Intiche and Atemporal.

We are so happy and proud to offer another precious piece of our Portuguese culture, edited in Downtempo by our dear Nyvs.

António Variações was a Portuguese singer and songwriter who rose to prominence in the 80s with his unique, eclectic and absolutely amazing musical style!
Known for his flamboyant stage presence, wearing bold and colorful outfits with his distinctive hairstyles, Variações's music was a fusion genres, from rock, pop, folk, and his magic and influence continues to these days, making him one of the most beloved figures in Portugal's cultural history!
Fun fact is that before he became a musician, he was a famous barber in Lisbon!

Disquiet Junto Project 0610: Speed Limit Pt 2
The Assignment: Combine two or more pre-existing 60 BPM tracks into something new — at half the speed.

I selected two tracks that I liked, but more by incident, because I liked many (and most of them felt already finished). But with Refactored Drift from Tristan Louth-Robins (https://soundcloud.com/red_robin/disquiet_junto_0603-refactored-drift-60-bpm) and Transient Melter from ATW (https://soundcloud.com/atw/transient-melter-60bpm-disquiet-0609?in=disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0609) I had the fantasy, that they would make a nice combination of melody and sound. I was very lazy and just slowed them to half speed. I also wanted to keep the result under five minutes, and I wanted both tracks to have some kind of a solo (because the ATW track more or less forced it). I edited and recut in Reaper by taste and justification, and I ignored scales and syncopation correctness (not totally, but they are surely not always "proper"). No additional knick-knacks but some subtile FX.
