Ok Folks, here is Haitian Divorce feat Tony Molloy, Brian Harris and myself. 

Tony Molloy: All Vocals, Bass
Brian Harris: Lead Guitar
Philip Begley: Drums, Piano, Rhythm Guitar, Organ, Percussion, Synths, Brass, Mixing.


This is more "Reggae” with ‘swung triplets’ rather than the straight eights of the original and without the ’Talk Box’ guitar sound 
that was added after Dean Parks left the studio by Walter Becker!!
We decided to let the guitar be "au natural” for this reason below.

My brother is a highly skilled studio musician and performing guitarist. He has a standing gig Friday nights in Woodland Hills and the band is made up of several legendary studio players. Last night I asked Dean Parks about the talk box solo on Haitian divorce from Steely Dan’s the Royal Scam (which he played of course). It’s been a favorite guitar piece of mine since I was young. Anyway I told him the rumor was from back in the day (maybe just among me and my friends) that the talk box was so powerful it could shake out fillings. I asked Dean if that’s true, how it felt to play one etc. 
You know what he told me? He has never used a talk box in his life! He said the he recorded that guitar part straight into the board and Walter Becker added the talk box effect after!! He also said he preferred the original clean track. Now I have to figure out how to listen through the talk box stuff to try to picture what he originally laid down. 
In any case... Mind blown!!
