DP-6 - Southern Journey (Alex Doering Remix) [DP-6 Records, DR269]

Bayjazz was born on a warm afternoon in Koh Phangan, Thailand during an impromptu studio session by Robbie Akbal and Nicolas Brunet. That day Nico jammed in the piano delivering some jazzy vibes, afterwards Robbie competed the track with some cool synths and retro feel good sounds that came together to create a fresh groove that's perfect for the summer.

On remix duties we welcome Francesco Mami (Get Physical, Human by Default) delivering a solid tribal house meets deep house fusion that brings a more club-fee like to the original. It's filled with great percussion and a solid bassline groove that ties everything together into a fantastic tune.

Another new addition to DP-6 Records is the work “Perplexity.”

This track includes elements from various musical styles and features characteristics of early Progressive House, reminiscent of the golden era of the early 2000s, when music was defined by a unique mood and arrangement. You can also hear influences of Deep House, Melodic House, and Techno in the composition. As a result, the track is interesting, multi-genre, and, importantly, not formulaic.

Breaking onto the scene back in the 90s, his incendiary sets as one of the resident DJs for Godkitchen set him on an upward trajectory from day one. DP-6 is a music project founded in 2000 by Vadim Indigo and Alexey Filin. The duo's work is deeply influenced by the electronic scene of the 1990s, which has shaped their unique style and artistic vision. A turning point for DP-6 came in 2003 with the release of their debut vinyl record.

In addition to composing music, Vadim and Alexey are the founders of DP-6 Records, a label that not only releases their own tracks but also supports the talents of other artists. DP-6 is also known for their successful remixes released on various labels.
