On the remix tip, the one and only Kamikaze Space Programme coaxes sound into steel and concrete, as he reshapes the original into a frenetic, incessant electro roller with ample, DJ-friendly structure and frequent nods to techstep and neurofunk. Most notably, KSP subverts the original’s reese’s utility as mere textural and melodic backdrop – here, it takes center stage, carrying most of the bass weight, and morphing across the spectra in ways that are so novel they seem almost peerless. Indeed, as it seamlessly moves through warping metal, chthonic rumbling, bursts of white noise and everything in between, it all but unearths the brutalist underpinnings of “Sidewinder”.

Side B trips into leftfield territory with sleep deprived creeper Peripheral Visions. The Serbian connection continues with LAG delivering an off-kilter franticly driving reworking of the original.
