The A-side track “In The Air” is a glorious ecstatic dance floor burner with it’s fragile female vocal sample and funky bass line it takes us right back to some of the best early nineties House moments.

The B-side features the darker and more electroide “Call On Me” that could easily be taken from a mid 80’s cosmic album. It has this laid back Italo groove and long stretching pads and chords that just put you under a spell. The reverbs and space like bendings in this track are very haunting. The bass is groovy and funky, a real new funk electro track.

Downtown Party Network already come with an excellent pedigree of disco licked tunes for quality imprints like Eskimo, Is It Balearic? Recordings and Dirt Crew. And so the debut appearance on Futureboogie seems like a most comfortable fit, with the ‘Disco Ball Drama’ extended player providing three shining examples of delicious grooves.

Title cut, ‘Disco Ball Drama’ cuts a familiar beat with a rolling and gritty acid-like arpeggio, the classy pads smoothing out the rougher edges and providing huge swashes of sunshine moments on this real mid-season winner.

‘Keep On Running’ on the flip side turns out a heads down, boogie-fest, with its elastic bassline, deep Rhodes chords and lively percussion doing the business here.

Closing the release is ‘No Drama Afterhours’, going down the cosmic alley for a slightly deeper cut. Spatial pads and looping syth arps gently collide over the swinging disco drums whilst the bass plays out an infectious melody, one for the ‘afterhours’ indeed.

Downtown Party Network might once have been a short yet magical period of New York City nightlife. Today the name stands for music from another side of the world - Lithuania. An entity combined of experiences, influences, events, trips, and adventures in music that have come together during the last 20 years.

Downtown Party Network’s music has been signed by german Get Physical Music and Dirt Crew Recordings, british Futureboogie and Anjunadeep, belgian Eskimo Recordings and australian Future Classic to name a few. The releases have been favorited by DJ Harvey, Dixon, Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, Tensnake, Ame, Jamie Jones, Sasha.

‘Days Like These’ by Downtown Party Network released on legendary Eskimo Recordings back in 2009 became a dancefloor destroyer, hitting record shops’ charts and being played by countless amount of djs all around the world.

‘Space Me Out’, released in October 2013 by Silence Music, became one of the most charted tracks on Resident Advisor in 2013. Mario Basanov, Hannes Fischer and Musk accompanied the original track with brilliant remixes. Each of them received a significant amount of attention, as well as a melodramatic music video that was filmed in spooky Lithuanian nature. A year later, a new version of ‘Space Me Out’ was revamped and presented exclusively on ‘Deep House Amsterdam’ just before Amsterdam Dance Event and a brand new remix of the worldwide hit, crafted by the legendary producer Ewan Pearson. 

In the last years DPN had his shows in New York, San Fransisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Bangkok, Seoul, Mexico City, Jakarta, London, Berlin, Bali,  Bucharest, Ho Chi Minh, etc.
